Blackhawks legend Josh Bailey has signed a PTO with Ottawa - DarthKane
From the Sheridan Wyoming Hawks?
I think we all are confused by this one.
The 33 yr. old Josh Bailey from Bowmanville, Ontario, yeah, did sign a walk-on with the Senators, but this ex-Islander was never a hawk to consider any UC recognition. |

And I just read Athletic's article which interviews Antoine Roussel, saying if there weren't preseason rookie tournaments between NHL teams prospects, where a slot or two spots is available to "un-advancing hockey guy,"a certain guy like him, will not be given the opportunity to fight some other team's prospect, and eventually ascend to the NHL to make 20 million dollars... - wiz1901
That kind of sucks and I can imagine Beavis Buthead cartoon characters saying that. Isn't that one of the things they said.....so many years since I heard them but they might also say next season the Blackhawks "sort of sucks."
Anyway when they play the "Here Come The Hawks" as they take to the ice really it is most about throwing up a big large screen video of Bedard.
Here comes Bedard
Maybe here come the Hawks is more appropriate in a couple of years when hopefully an infusion of youthful players highlighted with Bedard spurs them to challenge for a playoff spot. |

Why we still go to this tournament is beyond me. Every year some nobody goon from Minnesota knocks one of our top prospects into oblivion, if not two. Trust the process… F that, play against an org that isn’t actively trying to end your prospects’ careers. - ObeseOprah
So the Hawks should have intrasquad games with the prospects instead? Like nobody ever got into a fight or injured in one of those? |

Oh, I am sure he is...he is this unknown quantity who is a giant two way defensemen who really looks like a better prospect than say Buffalo's Power, in the Hedman mold but bigger, and...Russian.
And although I think North Vancouver native Mac Celebrini is the best pick b/c he checks more boxes than anyone else, teams will be thinking hard on who they select after him, and LD Anton Silayev is on everyone's radar now.
Sure,I loves me some Cole Eiserman, but it is all based on his hard shot. He imo, is a terrific compliment to the prospects we have because I think they can get him the puck.
US College bound Belarusian Artyom Levshunov, a right handed defenseman has high end tools, and looks like a kid who could grow into a better defensive player, as he already can carry the mail and qb an attack. You draft him and you wait and see.
You draft Silayev and you wait until he comes, and then almost can plug n play him on your parent club.
And as much as a the rest of the top defenders, I think these guys are big swings were you at very least are getting a decent defenseman for your club w/o reservation, despite if they reach impact status as NHL defenseman.
And if we select out of the top four I would have Trevor Connelly and Emil Hemming on the radar....

The two checking line wingers are experienced at centre and the dot, yet big Marcel a winger by necessity (foot speed) is gonna take the face-offs.
In the last tourney I saw Alex Pharand in, he took many a face-off but played the RW. Hawks had to play some guys on the wing but has Feldman convinced them his future is as a wing?
I just don't see big Marcel as a future NHL pivot.
Ben Pope, did you ask why?

Lardis showed game breaking difference making speed at the jr level and his skilled hands/mind seemed to keep pace with his feet. Kid has the tools but like Wiz posted I will be watching his game to see why he lasted until ther 67th overall slot. A 3rd rd pick that the Hawks took as their 6th player in the draft...... With a novice eye I see the speed and skill Lardis shows as being traits deserving of a much higher pick than 67.
Agree with your list of players I wanna see, of course I wanna see em all and who jumps out, but intrigued by Hayes. Kid popped for 41 goals in 66 OHL games in his draft +1 yr. That's a lotta goals.
Misiak fits the 3rd line mentality/approach I love in players and was taken ahead of Lardis. Gritty kid with size that plays a 200 ft north-south game. Kinda player that was built for playoff hockey...... Very pedestrian jrs numbers but the Hawks see some things to make him a 2nd rd pick.
Be zeroed in on the 242 pound beast and how well he gets around the ice.
Listened to Laz and Powers and Laz gushes about Korchinski's skating and that he could have made the big league roster last yr. The decision on his path is probably the biggest roster decision this yr.
Commesso gets this game. Efficient technical goalie with the athleticism if it's needed. Always happy to see goalies that turn pro and are now part of a pipeline working their way up.
STL seemed to have a nice draft with 3 picks in rd 1. Dvorsky, Stenberg and Lidstein all went rd 1 and I did hope somehow the Hawks got Stenberg. Interested to see that group too.

Crazy to think, 2 of their best prospects aren’t even in the showcase, and their roster still seems very deep!! Hoping for a good show, and interested to see their team speed. Nazar and Moore will make them so hard to play against in a couple of years. |

Doesn't look like he can win a face off, so he should play wing, just like Kane. |
