Well the Arizona prospect pool is ranked 8th in the league, the Canucks are ranked 21st. For a team that hasn’t reached the playoffs in 10 years, I think most would expect the Canucks to have a brighter future. But most analysts are predicting that the Canucks will be on the outside looking in yet again.
- I-own_da-Northwest

I believe we covered this yesterday and over the past couple years. Prospect pools are completely subjective outside of players like Conor Bedard.

Considering the Canucks currently have Pettersson, Hughes, Demko and the Coyotes are now rebuilding a second time, the future is still bright for the Canucks.

I believe 'you' covered it yesterday in your usual condescending and arrogant manner.
I'd take Arizona's prospects over Vancouver's 10 out of 10 times.

I was having a conversation yesterday with others, non of them called me condescending or arrogant during the exchange but you decide to now speak for them? How you perceive my words, I guess I can't take the douche bag out of you, so you can interpret them anyway you like even if it's not true.

I'd talk about the prospect pools and situations of those teams with you but you decided to speak on another matter first and now I just dgaf what you think.

Rumors from Stan Fischler. He is a pretty noted writer.

Anything possible but that would have be a very large over payment.

Brett Harrison, Fabian Lysell, Brandon Carlo, Pavel Zacha, Mason Lohrei?

They have hardly any picks so. Van would be able to trade away a bunch of their players then for picks.

Scheifele might be a more attainable asset.

Every team can give up four first round picks. I agree the actual team does not have a lot to offer.

Ottawa has a good prospect pool but I can't see EP signing another contract with the Sens.

The jaded Canuck fan has the glass always on empty; fully, not half lol. However, if Canucks actually become competitive then they’ll probably fill that glass up.
- Quinn's Quest

Sure, I'm a fan. This is my blessing, and more frequently lately, my curse. I will gladly fill that glass up if they show me something I don't expect.

However, I'm not insane. Doing the same thing over and over again (re-tooling, not rebuilding) and expecting different results.

Kravtsov has five points (2 goals, 3 assists) in five KHL games so far this season. Interpret that how you want. #Canucks

Joking. Of course he is going to do good, he left the team. What player doesn't do well after they leave Canucks.

Meh, "rebuilding" doesn't always lead to success. "Re-tooling" doesn't always lead to success. Calgary was supposed to be great last year, Seattle was supposed to suck, Vegas was in limbo.

It's less abusive to ride the wave with what management is doing (if you think they're competent enough, unlike Benning), instead of constantly projecting what I want them to do. It ain't gonna change it, may as well enjoy the ride.

TSN is talking about Toronto's goaltending and if Trevliving has done enough to fix the team. Has anyone suggested a Helleybuyck/Schiefle for Samsamov /Nylander trade? Nylander might not be what Winnipeg is looking for at this point, but maybe another team involved could give some picks or prospects to the Jets for him? Seems like the kind of move that Toronto could really use, given their goalies are trash.

There are some both ways

He wasn't much different here than in New York.

Maybe he comes back after he matures in a year or two and sucks less.

Pouliot, Granlund, Gudbranson, Leipsic, Spooner, Gaunce, Boucher

Just to grab a few names from a random past Canucks roster. All young guys, none amounted to anything.

I mean, even comparing Canucks and Coyotes shows how abysmal Vancouver has been of late. These are two of the worst run NHL franchises in recent memory. Holding your hat on having a few guys pan out with almost zero supporting cast and next to nothing in the pipeline is not very bright imho. Not to mention, the best of the bunch EP with one foot out the door.

Sure Arizona has been worse, but not many other teams have been ... and honestly aside from a bubble run where we shouldn't have even made the playoff in a regular year, how much better than Arizona have we been? Not trying to be uber negative, but let's get real.
