Outstanding!!!!!!
No wonder Ek has the Canucks making the playoffs! Canucks set up to take a huge step forward after so many years of losing. Benning was such a good Hockey Man!!
Vegas - Edmonton -Seattle - Canucks - Los Angeles - Calgary - Anaheim - San Jose
Coming in 4th in the Pacific may not be enough. - manvanfan
They’ll be lucky to finish 6th, there’s no way they finish ahead of the Kings or the Flames, Kraken might slip back, probably their only chance. Adding 2 -4 or 5 Defenceman, and 2- 3rd or 4th line centers, probably doesn’t move the needle much.
We heard all the same stuff about a Fulll year of Bruce, 650 % winning percentage. Tochet going to hold players accountable, but with really no pprospects challenging, it’s hard to get too excited. Gonchar’s coaching from afar, and Foote was fired shortly after taking over as head coach of the Rockets. Bruce Hamilton fires no one!
It’s hard to hear this especially coming from a Flames fan, you can ignore my post if you choose but I’m sure lots of your fanbase feels the same way. I have some very good buddies that are diehard Nucks fans, even they are on a wait and see pattern. Holding steady, hoping it’s time, but low expectations. We’re heading to Nevertouch Lake, buddies fishing trip, I’m sure hockey will be one of the many topics discussed.
Wishing good luck to all Canadian teams! It’s our time!

Canucks will finish ahead of the sad sack flames, yes most Canuck fans are taking a wait and see stance after so many years of futility. You are not telling anyone anything that most realistic Canuck fans know.
Wishing good luck to all Canadian teams....except Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto.

#Canucks young stars roster.
Gotta give Vancouver some credit here, invitees Maillet, Wakely and Bowman all have solid scoring profiles. Could be some cash in those couch cushions.
The jaded Canuck fan has the glass always on empty; fully, not half lol. However, if Canucks actually become competitive then they’ll probably fill that glass up.

Wait and see is the logical approach.
Leaves room for both the good and the bad. Let’s hope ugly doesn’t show up. That Western shoot out will not go well for the Canucks.
The Canucks’ squad is also mostly bereft of talent and will struggle to be competitive at all this year. — Jeremy Cluff, The Arizona Republic, 2 Sep. 2023

I'd say new management honeymoon period is over now. It's time to see the younger players like Hogz, Podz step up. The PK can't be bottom 5 with all the new signings to help.

I wonder what he thinks of the Arizona team then - manvanfan
Well the Arizona prospect pool is ranked 8th in the league, the Canucks are ranked 21st. For a team that hasn’t reached the playoffs in 10 years, I think most would expect the Canucks to have a brighter future. But most analysts are predicting that the Canucks will be on the outside looking in yet again.
