Interesting. Thanks. Is there projections for players in the article? I don't need to know them but I have some creative difference to that order |

Pretty gross payoff for a near decade losing. Here's hoping a few pan out, but I don't have much expectation beyond Willander & perhaps Silovs. |

Nothing specific in terms of "middle 6 forward" or "top 4 Dman" if that's what you mean. |

I don't really think you can equate those things, because there are teams that have lost for as long/longer that don't have players of Pettersson or Hughes' caliber. |

Yeah, that's what I mean.
You could certainly add Hoglander and Podkolzin to that list. They are younger than a few players on that there.
People that think that the difference between a top 5 prospect pool and the 20th pool is about 5 or 6 players. It's maybe 1 more NHL player and the quality of 2 players that are top line instead of a top 6 and a top pair vs a top 4 D.

I think rating prospect pools is a bit of a waste of time given that players continue growing and honing their games long after joining the NHL in many cases.
You could argue that Arizona has the best pool simply because of the sheer volume of picks they've had over the last few years, you could also argue Philly has the best pool because Michkov is the best young player not in the NHL |

Pretty much.
TML have proven the volume doesn't matter if you can't pick. |

Yeah like someone else said though.... hog and podz are 1-2 years younger than Aidan McDonough + others. Add those 2 and lick off bottom 2, it looks a bit better. Not great. But....better

Aaron Rogers done for the season torn Achilles.
Tatar is signing in Colorado
Michkov sent down to lower league for the rest of the year after being a healthy scratch 3 of 4 games.
Willander Silovs Rathbone Podz Hog Likker Hirose Buzzwitz (whatever his name is) and DPetey are Canucks best prospects not in that order.
Trade Myers and Petey. |

Fair. I probably should have said last 5 years.
I also understand it matters what you do with the picks, but for a multitude of reasons, we should have had more & better cracks at hitting home runs in recent years.
The Dylan Guenther one will hurt for a while. |

Unless he ends up as a game breaking offensive threat, it's hard to say. I haven't heard of him having the strongest 2 way game (could change), nor being the fastest skater. I can only go by what i've read about him/whats not in his scouting report. Is he another Rantanen or Boeser? |

True enough, he looked great for Canada at World Juniors, but many have and not panned out. I think it's the entirety of it ... the cap hit anchor dragging behind us from the deal included. |

SKA St. Petersburg has loaned Matvei Michkov to HC Sochi for the rest of the season. Last season in 27 games for Sochi, MM had 20 points (9g, 11a) at age 18. Followed up with a strong preseason, yet SKA claimed he hadn't "earned" regular KHL time. Whatever. As long as he plays.

Canucks need to make something of Conor Garland and re-coop something ideally, a first round pick. A 2nd round pick plus wouldn't be the worst. |

The comment of He hasn't earned KHL time made me think it is a lower league. I don't follow KHL. |

I think we bought high on Garland. I actually enjoy watching him maybe the most on our team. He tries different and unexpected things. I don't think he would fetch much of a return though, not with his contract. I'm sure they tried shopping him a plenty when things were at their peak upheaval. |

It might as well be a lower league team Sochi are usually a bottom 5 team in the league every season.
SKA are dinks about ice time for prospects that have been drafted. No different than Podkolzin.
Demidov the next big Russian, also getting the SKA treatment of you never know anywhere from 0-10 minutes a game. |

Definitely did after a 39 in 49 season. |
