Outside of the Dominator , which Sabres goalie had the coolest mask?
- Ratsreign

Not many may remember it, or him for that matter, but Matt Hackett's was the best. It had Jim Kelly, Hasek, Gilbert and someone else I forget...but coolest mask I've seen in the modern era.

Sabres are a very hard Organization to get any leaks out of. Adams definitely took that from Beane.

The last time they did this the star player wanted out 2 seasons later, why repeat the same process

Yes Eichel signed then, as soon as it was signed leaks started:

https://www.nhl.com/news/...xtension%20on%20July%201.

I still can't fathom a hockey fan waiting for a Dahlin extension to buy tickets for a season Dahlin is signed for. It would be more realistic that Terry doesn't want to pay people to come in during the offseason so they wait to sign.

There is no non-hockey nut fan out there saying to themselves "If Dahlin isn't extended I'm not going to buy a ticket."

Also the last time they did this the star player wanted out 2 seasons later, why repeat the same process?

Fair enough on Eichel, don't know any other examples so you might be onto something.

Only thing I'd retort is that it isn't like someone isn't buying tickets bc there's no contract. However, announcing a contract signing can sell tickets.

I would like to see the swing in tickets sales for this example.

This is also true. I don't think I'd say it's not feasible, secrets have been kept for longer by more loquacious folk. However, I'm starting to lean to washy's side...not sure there's a ton of juice to squeeze out of ticket sales by announcing. Would get some hype, but not going to cause a rush...

Why are they waiting you think? Or is it just to make a little preseason noise?

Well it's a surprise that nothing solid has leaked at all for as long as it's been.

Yeah, I'd love to see historical data from ticketmaster or stubhub before big signings or trades, could be very telling. From a marketing perspective though, positive news is a good lure, the only question is the magnitude of the uptick. There I have no idea though tbh.

Don't know, think more people would be excited if they already knew he signed. Maybe they think announcing it just before the season will take away some of the uproar if the year doesn't start off good.

Bills EDGE Von Miller (knee) said he isn’t sure if he will be able to return from the PUP list in Week 5.
Miller said he was medically cleared before the deadline to be activated from the PUP list before the start of the season, but Buffalo chose to keep him on anyway. Bills GM Brandon Beane previously expressed optimism on Miller returning for Week 5, the first game he will be eligible to return for, but the Bills are obviously taking extra caution with Miller’s recovery. He is coming off a torn ACL suffered last November and his availability for the playoff push is more important than any contribution he could make early in the season.

Cut him already, what a waste of cap space.

Right? Seems odd. I won't be surprised by KA anymore, so this is to be expected, but strange that we heard from multiple sources, almost simultaneously, it was done.

Hate to say it, but Marvin looked better in the Sens' colors.

“Physically I feel good, I just needed more time for football in general, not necessarily my knee,” Miller said, via Josina Anderson of CBS Sports. “Ultimately it wasn’t my decision and that’s what makes Brandon Beane the best GM in all of sports. I trust the Bills like no other team that I’ve been on…I feel good, I just needed more time for my overall health.”

I can’t think of anything more important to my consideration into buying season tickets or not than when specifically, the date and time, Dahlin signs his contract.

Just think if it had been back in August my interest might not be as high, can’t even imagine July lol

No, I’m gonna need it peak Bills season. Then I will have peak interest obviously.

The only thing I can think is that they're combining it with making him captain and doing it all on the same day. Otherwise, yeah, who cares

Which brings us to our next question...

Do you think they run it back with Okie Pokie or will we have a new captain next year?
