It’s still early for the new blogger, let’s see what happens this season before jumping to conclusions
- washedup20

Should of been a development year for bloggers. Have like 3-4. rotate em, 1 will show they belong. Or all of them crumble.

Get more next offseason. Its been the norm anyways.

Average coach just had a top 3 offense in his second season with the youngest team in the league.

But go on

Didnt the guy just lose a daughter like a month or two ago?

Real class act by a bunch in here giving him sh*t on his writing style and frequency of blogs like 2 weeks after that.

Should EK bring back Garth to help the bloggers in a dad role during this process?

krebs is a playmaker not a scorer

if you put him between a healthy skinner and quinn, he would thrive just as cozens or casey IMO

- homiedclown

This is probably true, other than Mitts...not sure Mitts doesn't require the same type of setup despite being the better scorer of the two. Both are puck hound types/support guys.

I think he could be a pretty good spark plug type bottom 6 C. Does that qualify as prospect brain?
- QuinnFan

No, not at all.

That's probably 90% what he is at this point.

He was on the 3rd ranked scoring team in a wide open system and produced like a bottom 6 player.

It's what he is IMO

Agreed.

Could he produce more apples with better linemates? I would hope so.

Has he shown to be a top 6 player? Absolutely not

fun and gun

no D

when team was healthy toward the end, was getting pelted by bruins, preds and stars

let's see if he takes the next step but a lot of you people are assuming we will take 2 or 3 steps in the standings which is anything but a given

it's been all fluff and no substance and only takes 10 minutes to type 3 paragraphs, 11 minutes if you check for spelling and grammar mistakes

His system didnt help the D side but he has helped improve the defense of individuals on the team. (Dahlin season before last, Quinn this past season, Krebs)

Not going to employ a whole system in the end of the season, they kept the race tight and nearly got in.

It was fun to watch them gun, now Donnie needs to lower the HDC's and hold players accountable on the d-side of the puck.

Think we just hoping for another season in the right direction. For me that would be making the playoffs.

Maybe the addition with a true vet like Johnson on the backend, they are hoping he calms them down when/if the wheels start to fall off during the game.

big year for him

the lack of change or additions in assistant coaches is a little troubling

I hope for a 5th or 6th spot not just limping into the 8th spot

with a little d, a few more saves and a better pk we have a shot

Completely fair. Was curious if penciling him into that defensive role was hopeful or about right.
