They can slow play a few of them, but Adams and Co. who have done a fabulous job putting all this talent together. But it's gonna make for some tough decisions over the next couple years. With as young as the Sabres already are, some good players are gonna have to be moved. And hopefully the evaluations are right and they move the right one's.

If you were GM, how would you handle the roster situations?

What are your plans for:

NHL:
Krebs
Greenway
Mitts
Olo
Joker
UPL

AHL:
Murray
Weisbach
Cederquist
Rosen
Kulich
R Johnson
Russians

Prospects about to play pro:
Ostlund?
Savoie
Benson
Lindgren

There is a large list of on the fence players as well.

IMO this approach allowed a small window of high value from these players, that window is closing this season and the Sabres still do not have a plan that I can see that maximizes these assets.

Why wouldn’t another GM just wait out Adams and take these players/prospects for pennie’s on the dollar?

Hard to argue with the results was in the original comment.

I am wondering what are the results worth celebrating big over?

They've built tremendous depth, but most of it is based entirely on promise and potential.

Quinn and Peterka still have a lot to prove before they can be classified as big wins.

They certainly were not big drivers on the team last season.

If they were even a little bigger drivers last season, the team likely makes the playoffs.

Overall, the question about how the team is managed comes down to this: Can the Sabres end up being a top level team in the league while having an isolationist mentality and approach?

I don't think they can.

Brandon Beane sucks at drafting....

As Bernard gets a pick, Benford looks great, Cook looks like a star, Kincaid looks great, Russeau and Epenesa makes plays...

The NHL player list has this nhl season to sort itself out.

I can easily see them moving on from greenway olofson okposo girgensons joker.

Upl / Krebs / mitts. Need to see how the year goes.

AHL wise:

Kulich and Johnson will most likely be your injury call ups

Juniors players: wait and see what opens up next offseason

So again. No rush at all. Still a lot of unknown

He's researching the value that Jocelyn Guevermont brought to the Sabres '75 Cup appearance, and why he carried a purse while playing

Only guy he's ever drafted was Josh Allen and I won't have you tarnishing this narrative

The only problem with having a bunch of NHL caliber prospects is fans not agreeing what their long term futures are with the organization.

Well how long can you have them baking though, sheer numbers. We aren't just talking a couple years with how young this team is already.

It's a bit difficult to see how there isn't a bunch of redundancy with the forwards.

Their biggest need at forward is getting another Tuch on the roster.

It is no easy feat finding a player like that.

All of Savoie, Benson, Rosen and Kulich will be ready by start of next season.

Can you push out Savoie and Benson another season? Sure, but I'd rather have them learning in the NHL for a season of they are ready then the AHL.

Most really like Quinn and Peterka, and we saw what a rookie season in the NHL looked like for each.

When they're ready, room will be made for them.

Of course, if they can't beat out any of the talent on the top 3 lines by the time they're ready (and don't project to do so in their next few years), they will be traded
