Well - we have already wasted the career year seasons of Tuch, Tage, Skinner, Dahlin, Cozens, and Mitts. We are about to waste another season figuring out if Levi / UPL can actually be NHL goalies. If we keep focking around the window will be closed before we ever sniff the playoffs again.

No idea, but Tage put up 15% prior to this past year.. im sure no one thought he could elevate that (actually remember people saying his shooting % would come down in 2022/2023)... then he put up 15.9% this past year...


When your offense creates wide open net after wide open net you should be able to have abnormal shooting %'s

It's definitely going up. Shots per team per game are slowly declining since 17-18 from 31.8 to 31.1 last year; yet goals have gone up from 2.97 to 3.18. 20-21 was an anomalous year in both shots 29.8, and goals 2.94, but that's obviously due to covid.

If you want to say STARTERS SV% across the league is .910 then I can get on board, but the true league average is .904

League average was that for the last season, if you want to use a 1 year sample size, fine, but obviously using a smaller sample is less accurate usually. The 20 year average is over .910 still, that's all goaltenders, not just starters, that's backups and ebugs too.

Starter average across the league would certainly be .915+ as 14 teams had a goaltender achieve that mark last season.
