Thompson makes 766,667 for the next 2 years

why would Vegas even entertain moving him?

he has not asked to be traded

- homiedclown

Good call. UPL is younger, but not even cheaper. Comrie would cost them more and be a downgrade. Seems odd to me as well.

Is this true or a joke?

It might not be a bad way to give Levi a legit mentor.

That's it, unless they are using him to dump some cap to.

Anderson got crazy amounts of rest and lots of starts against poor teams. I get what you're saying, but that .908 is misleading. I believe a .912 is considered "average" now, so even that is short of the mark. While it doesn't seem like a crazy ask, we haven't had an average that high since Ullmark, so it does seem somewhat elusive.

The league average was .904. Why kick it up to .912?

So a Question for Everyone!
So say Dahlin hasn't signed yet, which I hope is wrong, but say he hasn't and the Day before Camp. Him and his Agent put 2 offers on the Table for Adams.
1) 5yr 50-55mill or
2) 8yr 12mill Avv Yes this is high, but will it be by Year 3 or so.
If not we wait until net offseason.

I'm going to go ahead and assume you mean 5 yr $50-55m vs 8 yr $96m.

I don't think it really matters much but I guess I'd go with the 5 yr 50-55 and try and bridge Power. Our window is already starting to close and I'd like to have as much free cap space (if any) for when we can actually make a push. If you can't get both of those guys back on contract under the cap in 5-6 years then move one for some picks / younger talent / retool.

How is are window closing, I am one of the toughest on the Organization and I don't even think we opened that window yet. Decisions will need to be made but if players keep growing and developing the Sabres should be a Power House in 2 years. Adams needs to help that with smart moves though to.

It used to be about .915, but has declined ...
"As you can see, league-wide save percentage has been on a significant decline since 2016. In just eight seasons, save percentage has fallen from nearly . 915 to a mere . 904 in 2022-23."

Sorry had to do digging, I had seen 20 year average was .912, but did the math and it's actually .910. That .904 is only last season and the lowest average we've had in almost two decades as well.

What window, the Cap Floor window?
Sabres haven't made the PO in 12 years and their window is closed?

It was a study using 3 million rows of data, lol.
With all due respect, you took x minutes and changed from .915 to .910.
If you want to say STARTERS SV% across the league is .910 then I can get on board, but the true league average is .904

Well - we have already wasted the career year seasons of Tuch, Tage, Skinner, Dahlin, Cozens, and Mitts. We are about to waste another season figuring out if Levi / UPL can actually be NHL goalies. If we keep focking around the window will be closed before we ever sniff the playoffs again.

True JC, but the good thing is there still young enough where they could have even better seasons and a few of them. Even Skinner seems to be getting Better the more Mature he becomes.
