2nd last paragraph, see what's true soon enough.

- Buff36

"If a deal is near, the Sabres could be waiting to announce an extension at the start of training camp later this month. However, a representative from Dahlin’s camp told TFP the report was “not accurate” when contacted on Wednesday but would not elaborate."

Actually, we might be off, I think they changed the rules on RFA. He'd be UFA I believe.
- QuinnFan

They change it right after Dahlin's contract? Did he not get 6(3 & 3) and he'll be an RFa at the end of it?

Tbh would depend if the 6 makes him an RFA, if so I'd take that and run even if he had arb rights as his trade value will still be extremely high at 26. If he's not, I'd pay the 500k to buy a year.
- QuinnFan

It doesn't. I chose these options to make the decision difficult.

Want the 8th year? It'll cost you 1m per.

No change. 7 years or 27.

2 years on his ELC + 5 would make Power UFA. The 1st year on his ELC doesn't count towards UFA.

Nice, still think I would do the 8 year. Be 22 next year as the contract kicks in.

8 or wait until next summer, imo.

I think I'd make the deal, but it's right at the edge.

Really what Power wants to do. Damn his Agent could come back with a 3yr 8mill bridge if they aren't pleased with what they hear.

Sure, have to hope it doesn't play out like Sam or Dahlin, and their play makes the team hesitant on a long term deal.

Just talking about a long term deal already makes me think they are willing to take that risk.

I think it's an easy call on Power, gets much tougher on the next guys: Quinn + Levi

Bashing the GM for the last year daily has killed this blog.

You bring up a convo on something positive you just get trolled by all the nancys.

Roma comes on once in the blue moon and trolls hard and gets banned. Clown says ban him papa stripes listens.

Washedup has been trolling for months but clown agrees with him so no crying to papa stripes so trolling continues.

But papa stripes told me we cant control the posts in here so if he agrees with you, troll away.

Good post

Its basically a story about a north buffalo kid growing up near Franks sunny italy on Delaware.

Local kid turns into a big shot ny guy

Turns back on his city and the other local guy Kyvny Adams.

Guy drinks a half dozen double jack and cokes at a sitting

Cries over and over how life isnt fair as a Sabres fan

All his ny buddies think he's homer #1 with the Sabres and Bill's, but instead, he cries about his own teams daily.

I don't anybody who knows what's going on really think the Pegulas are cheap. The difference between the Bills and the Sabres is that the Bills operate in a league that mandates its owners simply write checks and let the adults do their jobs (unless you're Jerry Jones). The NHL has no such mandate. It lets owners like Pegula treat the franchise like a toy, and the result is the same as when you let a toddler throw things around long enough.
