Jost is gonna be the extra.

Girgensons krebs okposo was good last year. Stay the course IMO

I think it depends on Oloffson and if he is willing to skate and produce off the puck. They clearly aren't scared of sitting him anymore.

He said Petry would have been a better get than E. Johnson. So the answer is E. Johnson.

Follow along

Thanks (frank)o

We already had e Johnson, so its revolutionary math.

You cant undue a guy we signed for 3 million to sign petry.

I think the 4.75 million $ multi 20 goal scorer gets the first crack out of camp.

Trade value ect.

ok if the team wants Mittelstadt in the top 6, who's centering the third line?

that's potentially true. what was available vs cost vs ability, which matters because they clearly intend on Devon Levi becoming the franchise goalie.

if they're true to their word and they're trying to win, and they showed already they hold no allegience to oloffson, then if he's the 13th forward, he's not playing.

Teams have scouts. Olofsson has a book. His value at the TDL is probably a 3rd or 4th round pick at half celery, and that's the ceiling today.

3rd line looks dreadful without Mitts. Defacto 4th line, if they go that route.

sounds like he's making a pretty big impact in that room already. hopefully he does it on the ice too.

Adams believes goalie is position of strength, interesting.

He believes paying a premium in the market or cost acquisition to add experience doesn’t put you in a better spot.

My thinks goes to:

Take a gander at the last decade + of Stanley cup winners and see if they ever paid premiums to fill roster voids with experience and were more successful doing so….

- washedup20

Seems like he's working hard to convince himself that he believes it.

Isn't dealing from a position of strength supposed to be easier?

Interesting. Guess we always talk forcing Mitts or Greenway into the top 6 and don't really consider both. Certainly possible.

If this is a make or break year for Mitts, what are the expectations for him?

More importantly, players like Mitts need to solidify a role. Tage, Skinner, Tuch, and Cozens have solidified their roles.

What role is open for him, who is his direct competition and what are you looking for from him to be considered a core player?

You don't pound the table for a bottom 6 forward.

I believe their hopes for him are to add offense and clear space for guys like Cozens, Mitts, Quinn etc.

He spoke on this today, which was nothing new. He's genuinely a utility forward who can play anywhere in your top 9. That can absolutely be a role, and I bet you if he has a great season they will want him here for a long time for that exact versatility.
