From what I have been reading it will happen sooner than later. I was reading a repost from someone that Vegas are very much in the hunt on EP seeing they are losing key players. It origanlly started from a Vegas reporter hearing rumblings.
Again I am a fan of Pouty but I don't see the Canucks paying him that much. They still have too many holes in the roster. I am really sitting on the fence of will a deal get done.
Also to me it is a win/win decision. You either get a very good player locked in or a boatload of young talent and draft picks. - VANTEL

Another site with the Canucks picking somewhere around 7th. Here I am getting all optimistic about this team and everyone just keeps shooting them down. |

My bold prediction, Noah Juulsen and Guillaume Brisebois will have fantastic pre-seasons, but won't get the same headlines as Wolanin, or many other pre-season heroes before them.

Don't worry, your Bruins are like 6th, so not only does this guy know exactly what he's talking about, you'll be able to spend all your time in the Bruins blog pom pom-ing away over there! |

Based on what input? But whatever. Until Canucks prove something they are being counted out. |

I find it hard to believe they're going to be worse than last year, but it's the Canucks so I'm optimistic about both scenarios |

Well, they are deciding between, Huggy, Pouty or the Problem Child to be the next captain, so it's going to be entertaining one way or another. Should be some good hockey after the trade deadline. |

Yup, years ago... so if you're disparaging their writing now, and they were the only ones with enough talent to get paid and poached for their writing... you're reading and referencing absolute bottom of the barrel scraps there |

Meh. We'll see what the season brings. I think they'll be better out of the gate. Wait and see |

We could trade them D-Petey. Maybe they pull a Benning and don’t realize there’s 2 of them. |

On the nhl32 in32 3 out of 4 panelists said the Canucks would miss again and that EP40 walks at season’s end. I think of that happens Demko won’t be too far behind. They haven’t made a real playoffs in 10 years now.
I personally don’t think they have enough grit or muscle to play in the league competitively. That could be their downfall.
But I hope with bringing in 4 more penalty killers and tochett allows them to squeak in. |

It’s probably based on the last 10 years where they’ve missed the playoffs. And the fanbase seems to think keeping the country club and adding 2 centres that are equal to Sheldon dries while adding 2-3rd line pairing D is the secret formula to making the playoffs. All while subtracting all of their grit and any of their toughness.
This team has not done any of the requirements to get better. |

I think EP40 will sign, it's just going to be for the very max cap percentage-wise he can get, but likely it'll require gutting the team to accomodate it. I just don't see FA being willing to let him go seeing as he sells tickets. |

You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink. If we miss the playoffs this year, that’s 10 times in a row. I’d bet Elias goes somewhere else and I bet there’s 15 teams offer him 10+, with half a dozen willing to go 14+.
He owes Vancouver nothing and if they don’t start moving upwards what motivation does he have? Spend his whole career without seeing a single real playoff run to make fans of Vancouver warm and content? |
