I come back because of the high engagement from some writers and other commenters. An AI could unknowingly replace Eklund and the only thing we would notice is how oddly logical and coherent Eklund has become.

I wouldn't trade Dube for Sanheim. Dube will sign a long term extension soon for $5 million ish.

This makes a lot of sense when you think about it. Sanheim is a LD and Oilers are only committed to $18m/yr. cap hit to have Ekholm, Nurse, and Kulak at LD. So EDM can definitely afford to add $6.25m to that position with their -$390k in current cap space.

Some people just don’t get it.

Dube still has the whole Team Canada scandal being dealt with. Until that is resolved I don't think his value is too high and the Flames aren't going to sell low on him until the investigation is over and results are out.
