With Sorokin I don’t think you need to worry about defense as much. In next free agency just bring back Toews or sign Pesce.

Nylander is definitely unrated in this forum but I would agree that Dobson would be off limits. Even if there was an extension first I couldn’t see it. The islanders need offensive and Nylander is full of it but trading Dobson for him is a sideways or backwards step for them. I don’t think that the islanders are a good trading partner for the leafs.

Junk roster? They might have the best goalie in the league. By far the most important position in the sport. He’s top 3 no question. Barzal, Horvat, Nelson and Pelech are all all star players.
