Damn, I hope poop gets back to normal for you. Talking to a friend who is a lifelong wildfire fighter he says that they are expecting the season to extend as its still drought conditions.
Maybe next year I will try to take in Penticton. |

Crazy last 3 weeks here in the Okanagan. It’s nice enough out there right now to go swimming, let’s hope it sticks around for a while.
You should try to take in Penticton if you can, it’s a great way to see what’s coming. Last year Klapka and Ciona looked good against the Canucks. Be interesting to see how Ciona’s game looks in the A, could be another great late pick. |

33 days til home opener!
Who’s going to be the suprise of camp? Hunt, Pospisil, Jones, Poirier?
Who’s the first player traded? Flames are over the cap?
Ek has the Flames Maple Leafs making a big trade.
Nylander heading our way? Hanifin and Mangiapani going the other way?
Will Squeaky come out and declare himself to be Hunkulese?
Lots to do before the opener.
Exciting time to be a Flames fan.

Heavy rumors Dube was involved in the TC scandal. Rumors right now say Hart, Dube, Gadjovich and Howden are involved and to be suspended. Still just rumors, but where there's smoke... |

By heavy rumours, did you mean to say rumours based on nothing? There's no indication any punishment is coming or anything new is coming out. All of this is because Hart made his Insta private and removed the Flyers from his profile. Let's all just ignore that's there's been massive amounts of tension between Hart and the Flyers. Then the focus shifted to Dube for making his Insta private. He must be guilty. Let's all just ignore that his Insta has been private forever.

They also could have been told to get off of social media as the announcement is coming soon & the social media is going to be a sh!t show for any of those connected to that WJ team period. Probably told not to delve into any of the frenzy so getting off the spot light is probably a prudent thing to do. Wish they just get this over with. |

Agree. It’s time to expose the players, not sure why it’s taking this long. I think lots of the teams know who’s involved and have stayed away from signing them.
Dube has too much character to be one of those, you don’t go out and participate in something like that, then get named the team captain.

Iggy was the next best thing to generational but it took a bold hockey trade to make that happpen not a lottery win. You reading this Conny? - DEDDIE
Trading your captain two months into the season for a prospect who's staying in junior isn't a hockey trade. They were gutting the team because they didn't want to pay anyone.
Everyone also thought it was an awful trade at the time. Iginla wasn't really seen as much of a prospect until he got to Calgary.
"They got nothing," St. Louis' Brett Hull said. "I've never seen a guy (Coates) get offered nothing and accept it. What kind of commitment to winning is that?"
What did Blues defenseman Al MacInnis, a former teammate of Nieuwendyk, think? "What everyone else in the league thinks of it. Not much. I don't know what (Calgary) was thinking. Is that the best deal on the table? They gave up Corey Millen and got a top-notch centerman. It makes Dallas a much better team." |

Montreal has a glut of picks and prospects. Might they be a player for either Lindholm or Hanafin? I think Hanafin may be more the player that they want compared to Lindholm but either would be a good pickup |

You really do like to spew HS dont you Hunkulese!
Iginla was the 11th overall pick in the 1995 draft after putting up these numbers in his draft year: GP 72, G 33, ASST 38, PIMS 111. In 95/96 his junior numbers were GP 63, G 63, ASST 73, PIMS 120; He won 2 Memorial Cups in Kamloops and then joined the Flames in the playoffs straight out of JR.
2 weeks after the Flames acquired Iggy from Dallas he was a physical beast at the 1996 world juniors leading the tournament in scoring with 12 points in 6 games and was named the top forward in the tournament
So ya nimrod he wasnt much of a prospect and you're damn right that was a good hockey trade for both the Flames and the Stars.

Yeah, I remember that trade. Iggy was a blue chip prospect having been drafted 11OA only a few months before. His performance in the world juniors got people in Calgary super excited. Losing Nieuwendyk sucked but Coates did well. |

Wow! This is even bad for you. Who gives a fak what the players thought. Losing 25 hurt us at the time but anyone with half a brain could see the potential in Iginla.

I was at that playoff game against Chicago & saw Iggy score his first goal in his first game, which happened to be our last playoff game for awhile as went into the Young Guns era. Chicago toasted us there |

Iggy's first goal would have been Cool to see.
I can't remember that series but I still remember Buf pulling a Ferland on us and single handedly destroying the Flames in a playoff series.
One of the reasons I am a little worried about this teams lack of grit. |

Can’t help but notice Tyler Motte jumped at a one season 800k contract late last week with Tampa. With Oesterle in the minors, Conroy could have offered a little under that amount much earlier in the offseason.
Apologies for the slow week. Some solid content coming out later today/early tomorrow. Ideally two pieces out before we get to pregame and postgame coverage of the Pentincton Young Stars Classic this weekend. |

Has anyone posted a roster! Talk about trying to sell the tickets and promote the weekend, you can’t even have one of the many people employed by the Flame, post a freaking roster?
Terrible Pr, Conroy needs to do better. |
