Pound for pound it was Tim Hunter. No contest. I miss the Flames teams from the 80’s, those were some tough teams.

Forgot about Oliwa. He was a tough SOB. Neil She-he (sp?) was another. That last name could cause some confusion on present day emails.

That was they hay day of hockey. I was still pretty young then but nothing will ever beat the Calgary-Edmonton rivalry.

I had season tickets when the Flames came to Calgary. Was working for Cana Construction on the Petro Can Towers. Cana built the Saddledome at the same time.

Grants was good but Hunter took on anyone. Was at the Boa when Hunter, Otto and Peplinski started a line brawl. Such good times then when Alberta was known as Death Valley for visiting teams.

I'm close to your old stomping grounds. Just left La Paz, did Uyuni salts and am now in SPA about to cross back into Argentina to finish up this trip. Not seeing as much of the political BS down here as there apparently is in Quito/Ecuador/Ect. Everyone is just happy to see a few tourists again.

Enjoy, If you are still in Bolivia try some Salteñas, they are amazing. If you have time and can get to Tarija its a pretty cool place in Southern Bolivia as well.
