Just got back from one (Calgary). Haven't seen Lake Louise since I was 10. Damn it is really spectacular. like if you asked an AI to draw a perfect mountain/lake picture, it wouldn't be as good.

They must have turned the tar sands off for a day while you were here.

Haven't been there myself, but 2 friends of mine have been there many times - one of them used to be a pro skier. And while us Norwegians got our fair share of spectacular nature ourselves, they both claim that place is otherworldly.

might end up with hundreds of trinidad scorpions this year.
suggestions? - TheMussel
Very nice. I've done those before. This year I may have dozens of Carolina Reapers but that's it.
Dehydrator is good to preserve some of those. You can also grind them into powder.
I always like roughly blending a bunch of superhots, some jalapeños and a few red peppers and garlic and brine. Leave out for a couple days just to get a bit of lacto fermentation. Then put in vinegars to taste, like white and apple cider vinegar. Store in the fridge. Mine would be like a chunky sauce. Hotter than (frank)ing (frank) but tasty.

It is utterly mindblowing. That entire region is so spectacular.

I usually use pink salt from the Andes or grey French sea salt, I don't know if it matters (frank) all but the sauce is good.

Be careful what you wish for. Did you see that Blue Jays commercial that AI generated? It was acid induced nightmare fuel.

The worst part about seeing these kind of sites is that no matter what kind of camera you have, it will never match the sheer beauty and majesty of seeing these vistas in person.
I remember visiting the Austrian Alps a number of years ago and just being absolutely floored with the insane scenery laid before me. I snapped many, many photos and they all ended up looking decidedly ho hum which was super disappointing when I pulled them up to uber-brag to my family about how awesomesauce that part of the trip was and how they "wouldn't believe the beauty" of the place.

Yeah, I don't think I'll be showing my 5 year old son that anytime soon. I'm actively trying to get him interested in baseball (which has been, thusfar, an elusive quest).
