So they are going to be playing in Mesa, Arizona and calling themselves the Salt Lake City Coyotes? - mikeyo27
They signed a letter of intent to buy a piece of property that might get approved for a sports arena. There's no guarantee they're going to be playing in Mesa. They don't even technically own land there yet. |

For 27 years Canadians have been saying that hockey will never work in the desert. - milamidb1
And for 27 years Canadians have been right.
Or do you actually think it has been a success?

This franchise has been marred by arena issues since it entered the league in 1979. I don't think this franchise should have left Winnipeg in the first place. The Coyotes ownership group was doomed from the beginning when they traded Selanne from the Jets 1.0 because they realized that they could not afford to keep all three of Zhamnov, Selanne and Tkachuk. I wish the league had put in the same effort to have kept the franchise in Winnipeg as they have done to keep them in Arizona. |

As always, the garbage shared from north of the border is exactly that!
This info share looks pretty dense after the announcement of intent to purchase land in Mesa. Stable ownership and a GM with a great plan is going to show dividends this next season.

Stupid as always. The owner is going to buy land in Mesa. You have a joke of a website. Pander to certain markets. - Doaner19
Sounds like the owner heard the same rumors and is scrambling before the NHL makes him sell like Snyder.
