Yea haha, was seeing what you thought about Poulin getting a shot? Why not try it I say. - 668710
If he has a great camp, why not? Certainly feels like a forward spot open as of right now. I believe he has the talent, but he's also got to earn a spot after last year. |

I'd hope there'd be another move for a Pius Suter or Tatar at around $2 mil. When Guentzel comes back you can send Potluck and Nylander down. If they get claimed, so be it. - Rocco115Pitt
I don't think the math works for that. They really don't have room to add beyond close to min salary guys. |

As a Leafs fan, this hurts. What a robbery by Dubas. |

At the end of the day, our defense went from:
Dumo-Letang
Pettersson-Petry
POJ-Ruuta
to
Pettersson-Karlsson
Graves-Letang
POJ-Ruh/TBD
That is a huge upgrade no matter how you slice it. |

I though Letang and Petts were pretty good last year. I think they stay together.
Graves has a heavy shot, maybe Karlsson can make use of it. - stackthepads
Hmm Karlsson can score on his own, but tanger could use someone with a shot threat.. plus idk why but I like similar things to be together ie the Swedes |

Great trade. It has that pinch me I’m dreaming quality to it. Love our GM! |

Reminds me a bit of the shero days when he would just fleece someone. |

I'm with you haha. Petterson is the least offensive guy and very sound defensively and is swedish 😂, I think that's EKs partner. Just seems like Graves will be a better partner for Tanger. |

It hasn't really settled in with me yet. I honestly cannot believe the amount of turnover. Dubas erased a lot of Hextalls errors. But watch Carter play with Sid and Rakell haha. Grinder will be in his glory lol. |

That's a massive upgrade. It's going to help the offense as well. Graves is a strong passer and gets the puck up ice well. Dumo struggled with that. EK is a clear upgrade over Petry. Rutta was so unnecessary and a revolving door of RUH, Friedman, Smith are going to be just as effective. |

It’s pretty insane. Younger, more mobile, more point producing, quality in breakouts is going to be elite, all around better in every way.
Our bottom 6 (5 of 6) should be much more defensively responsible and capable. PK should be pretty significantly improved looking at how much some of the new players were apart of their old teams pk. PP should see an uptick with ek.
Goaltending we will have to wait and see. Jarry can play. Let’s hope he is as healthy as he says he is.
We gave up nothing for prospects except 1 first. I’m pretty excited. Doobs has came in swinging for the fences. And worst case scenario we only have 1 more year of carter then we are going to have to find a new whipping boy. |

Next time I'm on a flight with Sully, I'll let him know your thoughts. (I was on the same BOS-PIT flight as him twice last season.) |

For starters.... He'll give Carter a jersey every night.

Yeah, if by some miracle nobody else is on LTIR when Jake comes back, they can just waive Pitlick and replace him with a league-min guy. - MickV
Why not just do that from the get-go and start banking cap space? |

I just thought about how good I feel with Letang and Karlsson on this team with a game that goes into OT. |

You'd bank maybe $40k given Jake's timeline? That's not much.
Presumably they'll ice the best team they can during that time and not worry about banking cap, but it'll be an open comp in camp to determine who fills out the bottom 6. No idea if the new guy makes it or not. |

I’m really not so sure of that but if he does he won’t properly use him. He’s a poop coach, always has been and the off-season is a failure because he’s still the coach. |

You know this is where I think I will have the most ambivalent feelings. If the opposing goalie makes that save I foresee a variety of break aways or odd man rushes coming back. |
