Carter is the only trash on the team that really stands out
Imagine if there's a move to free up those dollars and get 2 guys who can play @1.5 per, couple vets looking to compete/rebuild value - RoloTahmasee
I think he’s LTIR’d at some point. There will be a way to make a move before the TDL to improve depth. Hopefully a young guys steps up while Guentzal’s out to help solidify some depth too |

Did we just straight up trade all of our bad players for all of their good players? |

Screw going after Matthews next year…go after Daisaitl in 2025 or McDavid in 2026. |

Toronto should trade us Nylander, salary retained of course, for Carter. |

Yeah if he’s lucky lol
Hamaliuk was a 2020 2nd round pick as well. Prob not a huge upgrade but I’m sure he’s better than half our baby pens.
1 more move still needs to happen though. We are 80k over the cap with 12f, 7d, 2g - 10inchTerror
The capfriendly total includes Jake, so we're only $80k over with 13f+7d+2g with our full healthy lineup. |

True but either we need to hope someone is always injueres or by November we need to free up 80k lol
It’s like sj did this as a sick move on purpose. They couldn’t regain 15%… or 11 |

Just imagine having a 1A-1B RHD of Karlsson and Letang in their 20s. You wouldnt need a 3rd line pairing because both of them would play 30 minutes each. |

It's great to have Karlsson, but that retention is not a good price. Getting the 3rd team involved should have had some retention. 10M is too high for him, he won't replicate his performance from last season. |

We gave up literally nothing but bad contracts and a dude that will never sniff the nhl because he can’t skate. The price is good. |

We’re 80K above the cap. Too bad we can’t buyout Carter. Maybe we trade him to Philly so he can end his career where it all begun.
Carter, Pickering, another roster player and a pick for Konecny lol |

Pitlick probably gets sent down in favor of one of the cheaper guys they signed (Hinostoza or Zohorna) or one of the younger guys, so they’ll be fine. No sense in giving up assets to get rid of Carter |
