Clearly Crosby/Malkin pushed for it seeing they want one last shot at a Cup before they retire. Ek will at least get them back into the playoffs and maybe a round or two depending on matchups and how the East goes, beyond that is up to the hockey gods.

The cap space issue drives these rumors. Yet Canucks have choices to do other moves other than trades for cap space. We saw this in OEL buyout.

Canucks are likely to keep Myers Beauv and Cole, even Pearson, until TDL. Then trade them for whatever they can get. Being UFA’s they are risk free moves for contenders. Then move in the prospects or farm hands to cover.

No arrogance it's just that games look exceptional in 4K. TSN has one 4K channel at the moment and SN has two. It's nice to have the option as part of the cable package.
