I'll take the upside on Hronek anyday over Schmidt or Hamonic lol. Dermott was a 6-7 spot plug. Hronek if healthy has a much higher ceiling than any of those guys IMO. I'm not saying the deal was stellar to get him but understand the process. The D needed to be re-done and it appears Allvin is half way there with Soucy Cole and Hronek.
Schmidt was elevated with the rosters he played with in VGK and WPG. Hronek did very well for a few years on very bad DET clubs with little help. - LordHumungous
I get all the hopefulness that fans are expecting but until he has, he hasn't. Like I said ask me next year.

RIP Robbie Robertson. - VANTEL
Watched the documentary on the Band, "Once Were Brothers" last night on Crave. I knew quite a bit of their story, but it was still very good. They sure had a lot of great songs. Sad to see how drugs and alcohol cut their legacy as a band short.

I had seen the Last Watlz multiple times. Great documentary. I really liked RR's solo career also he had a great voice.

I still think they are a bubble team looking in and I think they have improved the team.
I just have a gut feeling Hronek is not going to be as wonderful as fans are saying. Until he plays it is only speculation.
There was improvement this summer IMO but still a ways to go. - VANTEL
Yep I'd say the D looks to be half way there based off potential injuries but the big question is Demko. When healthy he is awesome but now there is that veil of uncertainty around his injury status. If we lose him again 20-30 games in yipes...

Nice good to know will check that out.
Going through Robbie Robertson's solo catalog right now as time passes one just forgets how great of a songwriter this guy was. What an absolute privilege and pleasure to have experienced his contribution to music. Surely will be sorely missed. RIP.

Somewhere down the Crazy River. Always made me feel like I was in a bar in the afternoon in New Orleans.

I watched it 2-3 years ago, very good, it's amazing that all those old pictures survived. Thank god for Robbie's wife documenting everything.

They are a bubble team til they prove otherwise. They’ve improved but imo it comes to a full season of RT & how they gel. My go to of course is the PK & break outs. Easily the most glaring problems. The forecheck has to be higher pressure.

We are getting at the age of almost every day another legend passes on. The young stars have turned into old farts just like us.
