Strictly offensive players don’t get Selke nominations.

Just go watch Mitch’s highlights. He makes so many insane plays that I think fans just take it for granted.

Leafs would have no issue making the playoffs without Nylander. It’s not even a debate. You guys all wanted Mitch traded early last season, basically tried to run him out of town. But he goes on to put up 99pts, had a 23 game pt streak, and put up 14 pts in 11 playoff games and was a +7.

Stop comparing Willy to that. He’s not even on the same planet as Mitch.

You’ve lost me now bud. I never wanted anyone traded.

I don’t need to watch highlights cause I watch games.

Kampf scored a ridiculous move on a sweet dangle. But that he’s 16 but my point is he is an NHL talent and given time and space they can do impressive things with the puck. The reason some are better than others is that they need less time and space and can do it at pace. You can look up a Willy package and see insane silk in motion that 16 can’t replicate. It’s interpretation. BOTH good offensive players.

Fans don’t run players out of town. That’s not how Pro Hockey works.

16 is better than 88 but not by much. In money terms he’s about 1.5-2M per season better.

Media nominations mean absolutely 0 zero nada. It is journalists judging hockey. Look at the Norris and coach of the year these awards are garbage. Stats based awards and the Teddy is all that matters.

"Mitch Marner was the league's best playmaker, who also finished as a top three defensive forward.

From Datsyuk, to Bergeron, now to Marner, it's time to give him his recognition as the league's best two-way player."

Very cool! Learning something new like that is the best. How many pieces is the kit? I've been learning fishing, and just got given a n old prosumer level camera and lens so I'm gonna (frank) around with that too.

12 pieces, it can be a decent workout. Working on a soundproof room as well

I agree with what you are saying a bit here. I think the compete level needs to go way up to win for this group. They don’t have that fight in them this group.

Most teams that win Cups or have a window of a few years where they are legit contenders (win or not) typically drain assets to get that to happen so cupboards are pretty empty.

Matthews and Matthews alone is the only piece that absolutely needs to remain. To me 16/88/91 are the pieces that are interchangeable. I don’t have 16 on 34 level. And with JT being a centre and having a NMC that’s why I think a lot of folks see 88/16 moving and that’s why they are constantly talked about this summer especially.

16 is better than 88 but not substantially game to game and Leafs make the playoffs with either one traded. Team is still very good without one of 88/16
