Point production aside, playoffs are a different season and things get a bit tighter. It was his terrible turnovers, lazy, lackadaisical play that infuriated me. He didnt back check and just had a nonchalant game.

I agree with you about the coaching. The whole team just poop the bed after game 2. You cant really isolate just one player in that series. I think it came down to GG losing the team psychically.

Im hoping Lavy gets more from this team this year. Im looking at this team as the Tampa team having a bad series and getting swept by the Jackets and then winning it the following season.

I haven’t been this ok with the coaching staff in a long time. Can’t complain at all. While Lavy is a retread he is probably one of the best retreads in the league. Also the assistants all have a lot of upside

Honestly I think if he's signed in December for low money you've got time to get them to gel. But we'll also know if we have problems at RW at that point as well so maybe someone switches sides or they make a trade for a top 6 RW which he wouldn't be needed

absolutely, but it's going to be an annoying year because no matter how well he does people will comment on how he can't do it in the playoffs

but, we need him to be his usual regular season self to get back to playoffs so he can redeem himself

Once, hopefully, they hit the playoffs, the narrative will be can Panarin and Zib produce. That will be a large portion of the focus but it comes with the contracts, and in Panarin’s case, repeatedly coming up small in the post season
