I actually think the Michkov timing could be great. In 3 years time there is a chance that some of our prospects could be turning a corner, like Cutter, York, Foerester. Frost and Farabee , Tippet, maybe TK, will be in their prime. Then we are adding a polished player in Michkov on an entry level deal, serious value for his production - ClaudeFather
I don't like the timing. For elite forwards, which is what we are told Michkov is, I would rather him over here much sooner. By his 2nd NHL season he should dominate if he is as good as advertised. But I have zero faith he will ever play a game for the Flyers, unless this stupid war finally stops, which it appears no one wants, so some people must be making an awful lot of money from it. As far as Cutter goes, I have real concerns, but at least he is here and I can watch him at BC this season. |

[quote=MBFlyerfan]Pure speculation huh?
Did he have to pay his own way including all expenses? Yes, Fact
Did he just return from Europe after playing the worlds? Yes...FACT
Does team usa junior camp start in August? Yes...FACT
Does college and his college team training camp start in September or early October?? Yes...Fact
Did his agent say he needed a break. (according ASF, yes, so Ill take that as fact.
And as far as vets picking up his tab, you are flat out full of poop. That would not only break the spirit of the NCAA rules, it WOULD break the NCAA rules.

No, it doesn't. There is no way in hell any Flyers affiliated person can pay for his trip. It is a violation of NCAA rules.

Everything you said here is pure speculation and assumption, nothing has been confirmed. Bottom line is 19-20 year old players can never play enough hockey. Also the money is not an issue at all, most of the time vets pick up the tab or help out the younger players in this regard. He should have been at the development camp and the fact that he wasn't and the Flyers nor Gauthier has definitively stated anything about it is concerning. - jd250
First you post that obvious facts are speculation. I guess when college starts is speculation. Then you completely speculate that the vets pick up the tab. Can't make it up. You also don't consider how that "gift" would affect their NCAA eligibility. There are strict rules. If his trip could be paid for by someone else. The Flyers would pay to bring him in. In closing, what the heck are you talking about? |

Seems since the draft you are butt hurt over how it played out. Prior, you were ok but you thought he could fall out of the 1st round, at least top 10 and then the Flyers took him, maybe you are just hurt

You may be proven right one day on the Michkov pick but I contend it was the right one even though I fully share skepticism with regards to the over all situation. I would have been fine with Perrault at # 22 but really like the overall skill set of Bonk and think it may end up bein a very solid pick. As far as projections, Who cares after the first 10-12 guys. You have to trust the scouts and hope they get it right. It’s not about the best guy at 18 years old it’s projecting who’s the best at 23. - landros 2
I honestly trust Flahr and his drafting. It seems he has made some solid choices, Andrae being one of them. Time will tell but Kaplan, bump, Macdonald, etc all have some very strong upside |

Isn’t kaluha a cream? Wouldn’t it curdle the milk? |

Seems fake. Or York needs a new agent. - StepfordSam
That is the only report I have seen and it was hours ago. It seems way too low an AAV especially for an apparent bridge deal. If true, good for the Flyers for getting him for half of what I expected.

Isn’t kaluha a cream? Wouldn’t it curdle the milk? - SMS4016
I don't think Kaluha has cream in it but I could be wrong. If it has dairy in it it'd have to be kept refrigerated I would think.

I was assuming he would get a bridge around 3-3.2m per, obviously not more than that, but less than 1.5m seems great...for the Flyers cap.
