my brother has this totally irrational hate of phil collins. i mean i guess all of his songs aren't for everyone, and it's not like i even own any of his music but the dude is super talented. my brother is weird.

I think certain artists can have that effect on people, especially when they're overrated and/or barely anyone ever criticizes their music. I guess it's a bit less frequent for a guy like Collins, who is generally considered very talented by most people.
