I lived on Toronto for about 20 years.

I enjoy their misery.

Almost makes me want to move back to envelope myself into it.

it may not be an "obsession" but I think it's fair to say we do bring up Toronto more than other teams, not that there's any issue with that lol.

I actually lived in Windsor for 5 years....

And I do like the Wings, probably the team I cheer for after the Habs.

and replied to your comment about TOR.

from an outsider's perspective when you see people working them into posts that don't have anything to do with them it's a little like "yeesh". i brought it up once before and was told "we know but we're going to do it anyway" so it is what it is and i just giggle at it when it's way over the top now.

the wings comparison doesn't even make sense but what do you expect?

when they were good?

those mother(frank)ers were too good for too long weren't they?

seemed like they had the best scouts ever too.

I remember the show obsessed, and a lot of people on that show denied their obsessions and tried to make comparisons that didn't work to deflect

They should go west (and pave the way for the nords to come back)

Detroit was a great team to cheer for/follow from the mid 90's to the early post lockout era.

It's been a rough ride since Lindstrom (who may very well be the greatest defenseman of all time) retired.

They'd never accept going back west.

I do like the idea of the Nordiques coming back though.

uh, well I'm just talking objectively about the habs thread in general, it isn't because people discuss other teams here that TOR isn't brought up more often... nothing to be ashamed of anyway lol.

I move to Toronto just as they were getting good.

My job was done there.

The misery was over.

Their reason for not going back west is stupid. They'd have like 3 more 10pm starts compared to now

Yeah but after fighting for like 15 years to come back east, they won't accept it.

Doesn't matter how trivial their reason is.

Was back then.

They are not looking too terrible right now, about 1-2 years ahead of the Habs.

They also had some bad luck with the draft lottery.

It was an A&E iirc. They would find these people who had obscure obsessions and try and break it.

Pretty sure landing Matthews makes up for any kind of bad luck they might have had.

not sure what you mean but I agree if you're saying that certain comments are a bit of a reach...? personally I find that's very standard for a sports forum though, there's a lot of repeating the same stuff over and over for sure but in the end it's all pretty harmless imho.

Karine, the Ontario Reign is an AHL team.

He's way too old to be playing junior hockey.

Mind you, his production is actually more impressive in the AHL so... it's good news.
