Wonder if he can throw CC into the stands?

About the same weight.

- Mashadar

huh, he was drafted by the rags 7th overall in 2017, sure looks like things didn't pan out for him... perhaps Gorton felt he could finally reach his full potential with the habs now.

it's a 2-way contract, probably AHL-bound.

also, just because he did some stupid poop 5 years ago doesn't mean he can't learn from his mistakes.

- Pat1993

Just ask Logan Mailloux. Also, I agree with you on your assessment.

Gorton and Bobrov drafted him at No. 7 overall in 2017.

It's a 2 way, so he may well spend his season on the Rocket.
- Darksyde

some people like to get upset for no reason

he will play in Laval and you wont hear much about him

the end

he wont reach his full potential at this point...

its just a depth signing and nothing more

a few guys left Laval, they sign a few to replace them

Or doing the kid a solid.

He had a decent AHL season last year, replacement for some of the guys they los the last few days.

A call up, if needed, but some "veteran" scoring for Laval is more likely. Can't just have kids down there.

yeah, apparently it's been a nice redemption story for him so far, he really took things seriously and gave an honest effort to learn from what he did. it's a nice change from the classic "cancel culture".

I get what you're saying, but he's 24, there's surely still room for him to elevate his game a bit.

Isn't learning from what he did just not doing it again? His hockey talent has never been questioned

oh, right, I remember having this discussion lol.

I find his redemption is even more interesting if he stays in MTL and has success with the habs, after all that cluster(frank) surrounding his draft selection, but to each his own.

sure, but it was probably also about reflecting on the "toxic masculinity" that we can find in hockey generally speaking, and how he could maybe help/inspire other young guys to have some introspection and perhaps change their attitude regarding certain situations.

Perhaps.

Just do not want it to be a distraction around the team.

If the right deal came along, I would not be upset he was sent packing.

he'll become a great dman on the right side for the habs, and you'll love every second of it.

no, it really isn't difficult for sure lol... s'en est même crissement décourageant par boutte.

hopefully he'll be smart enough to deal appropriately with all the bullpoop that often comes out of the dumber part of the fanbase, and not let it affect his play or his motivation.

c'est vrai qu'il a des airs, mais quand tu le compare à côté de son frère tu vois qu'il lui ressemble en osti aussi

Nothing official as of yet, but hearing Tyler Bertuzzi and Toronto are working away at a one-year deal.
