Yes there was plenty of compounding going on from way back & rebounding is a slow & arduous task. Lost on most fans.

The last 20 years

Terrible ownership since Griffith
Three first time GMs
Terrible scouting
Terrible drafting
Terrible coach aside from AV
Wrong people running the organization
Bad trades
Fan fav first time Pres.
Farm team across the continent.
Bad farm teams.

I am sure there are more than that but this is a collective effort to suck like this.

Nothing matters after we win that cup.

So many manlets on here crying into their tearpies, pathetic.

I am thinking about getting the AHL feed for the Abby Canucks this year. They look like they are starting to get a decent roster. A little toughness and some decent prospects.
- VANTEL

Farm team will miss Hoglander, easily the best Canuck in the playoffs last year. Maybe Pod can pick up the slack.
Flames had the top farm team, didn’t do them much good.

The team is more balanced this year, still need to delete a couple middle 6 wingers and add a 3c but I think we'll compete for the 2nd spot in the division. Better then the Kings, Sharks, Kraken, Ducks and Flames. Only the Coilers and Knights can compete with the offense we've got and nobody can compete with our winger depth.

Be lucky to compete for the 2nd wildcard spot.

It's wait and see. Since draft day I haven't seen anything that has a chance of being a big regret. No 6 year deals on 29/30 year old one dimensional players or anything like that.

One thing they have done is openly set the bar at the play offs. If they are serious about that, they will bring in another center. What will that cost? If they don't, they are not serious then.

Time will tell.

Very possible he gets sent down. He is out already on the ice in Vancouver practicing. I know he is giving it his all.

I side with Mini on a few of the prospects, they still need time, too early to panic.

He won’t be in Abby. If the Canucks send him down he’ll get picked up by one of the rebuilding teams. He’d be a great tdl player, GMs are crazy during that period.

I am with Vantel in that I want to wait and see. I do believe that Soucy, Cole and Blueger will at the very least help the PK. I do like the Cole and Soucy additions as they fit where they will be slotted under Tocchets system. I feel like Mikheyev at 100% with Petey and Kuzmenko will be a solid first line. I am a fan of Hirose and I feel like he will make them keep him to start the season. That will give each pair on D a solid puck mover. In his short stint with the team last year I noticed that Hronek doesn't take a lot of time with the puck to move it up, which I think will help alleviate pressure in the defensive zone. Soucy and Cole are physical enough to break up a cycle and get the puck to the puck movers. That as well should help the defensive game, not to mention a healthy season of Demko.

I want to see how Petey follows up his great season, as he had a tone of disappointment that he didn't do even better in his end of the season press conference. Management has set themselves up with some exit strategies for sure with all of the pending UFA's.

I will get out my blue and green pom poms again, I have moved to the island so I will be attending not only training camp this fall but Hockey day in Canada in January as well.
