I just have seen two clips suggesting Canucks could have already paid Myers his bonus. There is no confirmation but they suggest yeah it is possible they have paid him to facilitate a trade. Bikini Rachel says her source says he has been paid. We are talking Sekeres Price Dreger Jpat and Bikini Rachel so it could be bull but it does stir the question can Myers be paid early. They all seem to think maybe, not sure, possible and a whole bunch of other teasing thoughts

@racheldoerrie Is mad because she's not relevant. Easy to get a spot on S&P this time of year. She should probably try to find a paying job.

I think she is a flake, but I also think she has the ear of certain media and certain NHL employees including a Canucks source.

As she said "regardless if I am right or not about it has already happened it can happen"

My thinking though if it does create lets say a 3 mil cap space window but who replaces Myers? So far the options would be Woo Juulsen or McWard and I don't believe any of them are as good at third pair.

The ideal time to me is trade him at TDL when you get a better return.

I'll guess the may have another D outside of the org in mind when/if that happens. The AHL D have lot's to prove, not sure they're ready for NHL minutes

You would think it would be easy to confirm since it has to be registered with the league for cap tracking.

True but I am not sure when it was discussed and it is a July fourth long weekend so the Americans are more interested in blowing up things this week instead of Canada's Tyler Myers bonus

I just looked around the league for teams that we might trade say Garland to for teams wanting scoring. Cap space & fit was very difficult to see who could use him. So if any legs to Myers for Labanc trade makes for more than a wing logjam. Has to be something else in the works that has to happen. Unless PA has some creative up his sleeve I don’t see Myers going til the TDL.

Agree the farm doesn’t have anyone ready to step in. Good thing signing Soucy & Cole who play either side for line-up versatility.

Comes back to a good start outta the gate & up trade value for TDL moves. Even in a PO push we should be sellers to alleviate cap space & winger logjam.

In reality Canucks don't have to do anything else this summer and can dress this roster as is.

I am not expecting much else. I don't see a big move happening.

Re: Myers’ bonus:
Told the #Canucks have not and will not be paying his bonus early as it would he deemed to be circumventing the salary cap by the NHL.

Team will not be paying the bonus early.

When did 1.1 million become league minimum, because you have holes in your head, if you think Hoglander gets paid much more than that.

Only to zero out the cap. It could get shuffled elsewhere. Max out any LTIR accruing that is sure to come.

Wonder what team next will set a regular season record to go golfing asap? Or a 1 time off? 😂
