It was bad asset management to give the sloth and the angry elf those contracts in the first place.

Nonsense. It’s called bad Cap management.

There are some good depth free agents available still and cap space running out for a lot of teams. Anaheim and Chicago just waiting for them to take one year deals to acquire more picks at the tdl.

I have not paid any attention to his career so far. Is he really that incompetent that the league’s bottom feeders won’t even give him a chance? Is it his game or his personality that’s killing his career?

Garland and Boeser aren't really bad players they're just paid too much. Garly should be like 3.75 and Boeser 4ish

I thought Podkolzin & Nil's were almost ready to challenge those two for a spot in the lineup?

If you believe that I have a bridge to sell you.

I don't think it makes sense to trade either at this point. I mean yes you get cap space and they pick up a player like Studnicka. It has been pointed out a few times, we didn't have a problem scoring we had a problem keeping the puck out of our net.

Sell when value is up.

Their value will never go up as long as Boeser is paid too much, he's slow and he's terrible defensively, or, Garland continues to play a perimeter game and is also poor defensively.

It's also fun to watch Garland get punched out.

He only has two years left, if he puts up 22 goals then I consider him better than DeGuissepe cap space and 11 goals. I can stick it out for two years.

Boeser or Garland? Boeser had 18 goals and 55 points but he was a team worst -20, you can score as much as you want but if teams know any scoring you provide is nullified by your poor defensive play they won't want you at 6+ million. Well, good teams anyways.

Which is why Tocchet called him (Boeser) out and said he needs to be better with both his fitness and his defensive play. If you don't have the genetics to be a rabbit, you have to at least have your fitness level to where you're a fast turtle.

Maybe if this was 2012 those would be fair deals. Most half PPG players are getting around 5m these days. 30 point player get 3m a year.

Debrincat was -31 and he wants around 9m a year. Timo Meier -19 8x8.8

And why do you think Ottawa is trying to get rid of him and no one wants him at that price? He's out of his mind. If Ottawa wants to take the next step in their growth they need to get a coach and players that commit defensively.

DeBrincat is also a much better player than Boeser ever will be, so there is that.

Didn't Kerfoot just get 3.5m after 32 points. Maxi Domi is on team 8 isn't he? That possibly says something about him or his game.
