You’re absolutely right. To me, the only thing Kerfoot brings over other guys is speed… I’m not sure that’s worth the extra 2 million/season.

Brown is hardly an NHL player. That's why the price would be low. He would have to grow his game substantially just to get to Kerfoots.

Rumor Myers is likely gone. So only two Canuck D remain under contract with one way deals. Trades seem at a standstill with all these buyouts and not qualified players. Guess you are right with free agent frenzy solution. Though I think the costs will be higher.

Canucks can get both Zack MacEwan and Jonah Gadjovich back, neither were qualified by their teams.
