If they are trying to accelerate the rebuild they should take a note from the Penguins' book from 2005-06 and don't. Pens tried signing a bunch of vets like John Leclair, Ziggy Palffy, Kristof Oliwa, and Andre Roy to be competitive after drafting Crosby and it didn't work out. The guys didn't come together as a team, Palffy quit and went back to Europe, and they almost finished dead last again. Waste of money. I get the point of bringing in vets to mentor and everything but you don't need that many.
