Yup, nice pick….going full-on after defensemen. - LeftCoaster
A lot of room from growth, he's was a very steady D for them.
I couldn't figure out who Willander reminded me off. Most of my viewings of him was at the u18s but after watching some draft profiles, It was Charlie MacAvoy.
Not saying their future is the same but same style of games. |

I saw that comparison. Reuby loves McAvoy so that’s good enough for me. |

A bunch of public scouting rankings had Jayden Perron going in the first round. |

Flyers take a midget center. |

Well done boys!
Now in the 4th, focus on decent sized, great skating centers. |

Just talked to Seattle GM Bill La Forge about Canucks 3rd round pick D Sawyer Mynio : Canucks got a good one, this is a good all round defenseman, good skater and his offensive game is underrated. |

The high offence smaller forwards have really fallen and one or two of them will rise and analytics guys and public rankers will scream that they are under drafted and blah blah blah.
Byron Bader was saying how D under 5'10" are under rated. There is only about 20 of them in the league this year and maybe 6 are good. So they slap 5 of them in the first round every year though. |

Takes care of the defensive side first. He's got to put on 30 lbs before he even gets to the AHL. |

You have to be over 200 lbs to play D in the AHL?

This is what I was hoping for last year. But yeah, no complaints about this strategy and better late than never. |

They have to be trying to copy Detroit with their Elmer Söderblom pick. That was a 6th round pick though. Not 4th. |

So is Wallinder projected more to be like Joulevi or like Griffin Reinhart? - I-own_da-Northwest
Willander is like Hieskanen if you ask him

Of those five picks in the 3rd and 4th rounds I just hope they can get two players. Both dmen in the third round have a lot of promise to play NHL games, the others, not so much. |
