Bottom 6 talent is always easy to acquire/sign.

Cat is way more valuable to this team then a couple of guys who’ll play 8m.

I don’t think the issue for a Cat trade being on hold is due to a lack of market or extension..but that the Sens want immediate help in return. They want guys to help in the now.

If PD needed picks/prospects, I’m sure this would’ve been addressed at the draft.

I’m willing to be patient with it…Cat has every reason to play well this year..and I think even by the deadline the market will heat up for him if he isn’t dealt in the off-season.

The issue that is potentially arising is that you won’t have cap space to sign bottom six guys and will need to address it via prospects and league minimum guys. It can work but very tough.

Again, I keep flip flopping. I think Debrincat is a bit underrated after a bit of a down year. Would be great to somehow keep him in the fold but you saw in the Stanley Cup playoffs how important quality depth is.

I think that’s why I’m more comfortable then most are in this forum. Even if Cat holds up our cap situation, the biggest things that needed addressing are done already.

There will always be bottom 6 help: guys on tryouts, callups, etc. Nobody in the farm can do what Cat can do, but we’ve got plenty of Kastelics.

I ageee your depth guys are important, especially come playoff time, but you ain’t doing sh** if your big guns are no shows.
