You made the statement of "He has to go before the season starts". That's a poorly thought out opinion. Now you're making another one of your spin attempts after it was pointed out why you're wrong. Konecny could continue breaking out and pick up where he left off last season. This time he could play a full season and up his value theoretically. So you're also wrong there. What you didn't assimilate is my statement of "Someone wants Konecny, they have to meet the cost". In a condition of he has to go before the season starts. That implies you take the best deal you're offered because "he has to go before the season starts. That is a mistake and it is a forced trade. No spin you offer can change that. What should govern the Flyers and who they trade, is the return offered. If they don't get offered what they feel is full value, then no, they should not trade him. He does not need to go before the season starts. There is no reason why he needs to go before the season starts. - MJL

Thank you.
Another piece of bs distinction is the tanking/rebuild spectrum. I mean, anyone who tanks is doing so with the goal of rebuilding.
Rebuild is just a term to take away the pejorative implications associated with tanking. - PT21
Depends on your definition of tanking. Rebuilding and tanking are very much, two different strategies.

Here is the full post. Right after the part you quoted is the part that states why I think so.
It is not just a legit question, it is the critical question. The litmus test of it is TK. He has to go before the season starts. His value is high. If he plays, you are risking a random downturn, an injury... - PT21

Good draft. Happy to see that Torts is only in charge of trades and not drafting 😜 |

Yo Tomahawk - you thought Michkov was the way to go, and I didn't think Flyers would do it (though in my defense, that was before the Provy trade). But the fact so many Russians went early suggests that the league sees the geopolitical threat more from your pov than mine.
Also, I really thought Hayes would be have lots of interest at 50% retained. The fact they just got a 6th, and that Bill talked about his "devaluation" again suggests you read the league mindset and the Torts effect n it better than I did.
Respect on that front, my man. 👏👏 |

I addressed the injury possibility in my previous post and why that also does not mean that he has to be trade before the season starts. It's interesting that you love to invoke probabilities when it suits your narrative but when it doesn't. Probabilities, such as getting a major injury don't factor in. The very fact that I addressed the injury possibility. Blows your petty and inaccurate claim that I did not consider that. Out of the water. Name calling is not going to help you. Your premise was poorly thought out.

Yeah, I don’t really see why Laughton is still here.
TK I guess they think is part of the future. He’s gonna have to suck it up for the next 3 years of his prime to be wasted tho. |

Seems weird, with his tools and size. This might be another late round gem, if anything I am glad to see the team start to stock up on RHD. - MBFlyerfan
Told you guys the flyers would pick him. They have been speaking with him. I have a connection to the kid. Good player |

I don't really troll. Bluntness however is a lifelong failing.
Anyway, lets move on. After a good 12 odd years languishing doing nothing, I finally see some signs of a commitment to win by Flyers and some ballsy moves. "More to come", I hope, but for now, I am enjoying this feeling. |

No worries. I am educating myself on these late rounders. Figured I would just share what I find with everyone.
I definitely sense a theme with the picks. All guys with some high end facet to their game but with some weaknesses that may be developed with time.
Minus Macpherson, I have no idea about him at all. It almost feels like they meant to draft his twin brother who was ranked 100 places higher. |

I'm still riding the sugar high they drafted Michkov and did not leave him for the Caps. The jury is still out and much work to be done, but so far, so good.

The reason advocating for the quick trade is not just because he might get injured later in the season. It is also because his value is high (coming off a career season). This is literally the 3rd time I have said so.
Just go and find someone your IQ level to argue with. I would start with a slug. |

Who are the consensus top picks for next year’s draft?
Our pick is sure to be top 6 I would think. Plus Florida’s pick to play with too. Things looking up for once. |

i was kidding as that is cliffs mantra...he trolls daily yet calls others a troll. pure entertainment.
Still not convinced of a rebuild. Looks like a retool if I had to choose. We shall what happen sin the next few weeks to change my mind.
