Hard to be aggressive when you lack those things. - ClaudeFather
When used properly, Frost has had zero issue being aggressive.

Seems to me DB had trade options for Hayes, Deangelo, Sanheim, Laughton and TK. He will take it right down to the wire to get the best deal which is what a good GM does. I expect the Flyers to get two additional 1st round picks in this draft while covering salary for up to 3 players. Can’t wait to see how this all works out. - jd250
Yup. Just like Chuckie did with JVR at the TDL. |

Knowing the market is what works. Taking it right down to the wire isnt always the best way. If he took provy down to the wire then columbus says, we will go for hanifin as he is cheaper, then it leaves us stuck. know the market is the #1 rule

Anyone know:
Do teams notify players who are going to be traded before the league approves the trade or after league approval? I know it's probably team specific; just wondering if anyone knew what best practice was... |

Chuck Fletcher was truly incompetent. What was once regarded as hyperbole by some on this board has turned into truth. - StepfordSam
By many, not all, of the same group today

Sometimes you need to actually bring something to the table besides empty rhetoric. Tortorella had to be talked to and convinced to play him more. Tortorella held him back. - MJL
That has nothing to do with his aggressiveness Cliff? 2 separate issues.
How was the weekend? |

If I was a GM I would make it a priority to notify the players myself. I think that is bare minimum in terms of professional courtesy. I do not think a team is required to notify a player though. It is handled differently from team to team. |

Frost-
All players mature at different times. Frost himself said that JR was to easy for him and developed bad habits, it took time for him to adjsut to the AHL and then the NHL. Is that moving your feet, eh, kind of. Frost is not different than most young players, learning to play at the pace of the AHL/NHL with grown men. Yes, you can say Frost was held back by linemates but I think most all young players go through some sort of similar challenge. I did not like it for Frost and think it is old school, to much. Does Torts get some credit, for sure, could he had done better, for sure.

So Sanheim and Provy out in the sane offseason potentially, fascinating. I guess it is still possible Sanheim returns, talk about awkwatd. |

Well, if they are indeed able to get 3 1st in this strong draft that’s great. Really need to hit on the picks though. |

I think briere made it very clear when he said everyone is available what the off season would be like. This is the business side of it, comes with the job |

Remember this future cup caliber d core:
ivan - ghost
sanheim - myers
morin - haag
3 likely out of the league. Where has the time gone.
Not awkward when he sees his direct deposit hit every week

I fully expect a RHD to be drafted some time in the 1st rd. My guess is Reinbacher or Willander. |

I’d be fine with that. They will need to draft a dman if they send out sanheim which looks like it’ll happen. This formula on d hasn’t worked so I have no issue with them turning it all over. They are likely high on York but they need to find a way to get rid of risto as well. |

I have no problem if the NHL wants to levy penalties on the flyers due to fletcher’s ineptness. I’m with the league |

Sources close to the #stlblues / #FueledByPhilly trade say that Krug will be waiving the NTC today.
Buckle up. |

Yea, no more drafting up. And give the player away for future considerations. |
