Seems to me DB had trade options for Hayes, Deangelo, Sanheim, Laughton and TK. He will take it right down to the wire to get the best deal which is what a good GM does. I expect the Flyers to get two additional 1st round picks in this draft while covering salary for up to 3 players. Can’t wait to see how this all works out.

Things have to be done but be prepared. You're going to be waiting years to see how it turns out. There are always trade options. It's just a question of how good they are.

Sometimes you need to actually bring something to the table besides empty rhetoric. Tortorella had to be talked to and convinced to play him more. Tortorella held him back.

And there is your typical reply when you know that you are wrong. You tell the other poster that they are spewing empty rhetoric. It's not empty rhetoric at all. You are wrong that Frost was an aggressive player before this past season. He was a soft perimeter player and if you can't see that than perhaps you should follow a slower sport like baseball that you can keep up with.

I know that I'm wrong.LOL Here it is for you. Prove that I'm wrong! You reply that all I do is tell other posters that they are spewing empty rhetoric. You're the only poster I responded to that way. You responded again, with more empty rhetoric. The best you can do is make comments on watching the game or now I should follow a slower sport. You have no standing and are completely incapable of discussing the sport in an informed level.

You do the same thing though, I called
Put his pace of play and moving his feet and your response was he needed to be with better players. That’s empty rhetoric. He was with Giroux a couple of years ago, he started hot and flamed out. He wasn’t ready.

That Frost needed to play with better players and in better spots was a topic of the blog written by a reliable source such as Bill Meltzer numerous times. Your claim that is empty rhetoric by me is an epic failure. Frost was held back by injury and by poor development by Yeo and continued for a short time under Tortorella until he was talked to by management. This lack of aggressiveness and not moving his feet label was something that was given to him very early. Every young player has areas of their game they need to work on. The comment made by the original poster is that Frost lacked aggressiveness before THIS YEAR. Meaning this past season. That is completely False.

All I can do is laugh when our conversations get to this point. You are the king genius on here cause you can look up lots of meaningless stats while I actually watch and understand the game more than you'll ever be able to. Thanks! Good day.

Chucks' trade for Angelo was so bad the league won't let Philly send him back to Carolina with retained salary because it looks like cap circumvention.

Hysterical. I clearly stated that every young player has areas of his game that he needs to work on in my post.

And Frost absolutely needed to work on pace and moving his feet, would you agree?

Is that what the snag is?

Edit, nvm I found it from Lebrun:

What’s the holdup on DeAngelo?
In the meantime, another proposed Flyers trade that was supposed to happen Sunday did not.

The Hurricanes and Flyers were in agreement in principle on Tony DeAngelo going to Carolina for a prospect and Philadelphia retaining 50 percent of his remaining $5 million salary and cap hit for next season. But my understanding is that the NHL took issue with DeAngelo going back to Carolina within a year of his trade from the Hurricanes. There’s language in the CBA about a player returning within 12 months, especially on a retained salary, as being possible circumvention.

I believe both the Flyers and Hurricanes have argued with the league about this, saying: 1) His contract wasn’t even signed with Carolina; it was Philadelphia that signed him last summer to a two-year, $10 million deal. And 2) Chuck Fletcher was the GM who traded for DeAngelo and signed him, and he’s no longer there — so how could any of this be a circumvention?

My understanding is that the league will talk to the teams this week in Nashville about it. Either the league will sign off on it or it will want the teams to wait until July 9 to complete the trade, following the 12 months rule. If that’s the case, who knows if the current proposed trade still works for both teams. So stay tuned on that one.

Were you going to mention any available, innovative, forward-thinking coaches for the Flyers or are you going to spew more empty rhetoric?

Very early out of juniors. He overcame that early in his pro career. The statement made that Frost did not show aggressiveness before this past season is false.

This is simply not true, no matter how much you try to jam this false narrative down everyone’s throats.

Maybe the league's stepping in to make sure Tulsky is positive that he actually wants DeAngelo back.

Chuck Fletcher was truly incompetent. What was once regarded as hyperbole by some on this board has turned into truth.

The NHL is a funny league. Stopping the TA trade makes me chuckle. The Flyers signed the current contract. If the Flyers eat (50%) it would be close to what the Canes were comfortable offering two offseasons ago. The Flyers have a new GM and almost completely new front office now. NHL is overstepping on this one.

They don't want to embarrass Chuck at the draft since it'll be his first time doing TV coverage so they're making Briere wait until 7/9.
