consider that 2 of the team could be the jets and flames. 2 team that dont many free agents and having someone locked up for 8 years is appealing to them. All about the circumstances.
Sanehieim is a solid #3/4 2nd pair dman. Nothing wrong with that. - hello it's me 2050
The 8 years locked up …maybe I can buy that. |

I have no doubt Briere & Co are not the leak. People tend to play by the book the closer they are to the class. No way this is on the Flyers Front Office. - mikeyo27
How did Tony D to Carolina get out after the Hayes and Sanheim news? That's on Carolina? The leak is from the Flyers.... |

Leaks are done for a purpose. Think about who benefits and what could be the purspose.
As far as the St Louis deal, seems to me the purpose was to pressure Krug into waiving. He will be public enemy #1 in St Louis next year.
For Carolina, could very well be their GM trying to pressure Briere into accepting a deal he doesn’t like. Briere is a new inexperienced GM. Carolina and St Louis have experienced GMs who know how to use the media.
I see no benefit for the Flyers leaking these and more so for the other teams. If the Flyers had a leaky ship, the Provorov deal wouldn’t have come out of the blue. |

Army said in the exit meeting that the Blues wanted to get younger players with term. Why the (frank) are they looking at Hayes then. I guess it was more Sanheim and hayes was thrown in???? Makes no sense for the Blues to be after Hayes at all. Krug was a terrible signing since day 1. Blues lost Petro over 500k and a ntc but give one to Krug. Gets injured every year and is not a good defenseman |

I wouldn’t call Krug public enemy #1 if this trade falls apart. He saved them from getting stuck with an aging Hayes who might put up points but is a defensive liability and will only get worse. |

I wonder why the TDA deal isn't done if it was just for a prospect.
- Maybe it is connected to the STL deal in some way?
- Maybe DB doesn't want to use a retention slot until he knows what it will take to get rid of Hayes?
- Maybe he's hoping that another team calls about TDA when they hear what the offer is? (This could be why details were leaked.)

To get other teams to possibly call when they see what the offer is.

I understand what you're saying, however I have to disagree. Provorov's name has been linked to trade talks going back to the last deadline, with multiple outlets reporting he was being shopped this summer. So that's not a deal that came out of the blue. If you look at Provorov's deal though, immediately following that, Carter Hart's name was out there in an "impending deal". After a couple days, outlets reported to back off on that and were to look at other Flyer players and now here we are again, with multiple deals by the Flyers coming to light on the same day....There's too much smoke there, from reputable sources for this not to be coming from them.

Flyers have to take bad leaf salary (Murray), if that deal is going to work. |

How many bad goalie contracts can one team take? |

They mask 😷 it as a rebuild. But it seems it's a ton of snags and wrinkles 😁 |

Seems like there are a lot of teams interested in him.
So Sanheim haters... consider that. - Tomahawk
Yes, a lot of interest from those teams that have aging mediocre defenseman on bad contracts that want to replace them with a younger mediocre defenseman. Sanheim contract is by far the worst move Fletcher made as Flyers GM, its was reckless and just plain stupid. The player is not that good to begin with and never deserved an 8 year contract. |

From Anthony SanFilippo
Just confirmed the prospect the Flyers would get back from Carolina is a center, not another D-man. And, as has been reported already, it’s a low-level prospect - a lottery ticket more than anything. Not mentioning the name because I’m told the player won’t be told til finalized.
Carolina does it right! |

If the Flyers manage to get rid of Hayes and DeAngelo, even if they get very little back, to me that is a big win for Danny Briere and the Flyers. It opens up two more roster spots for young players and saves a good chunk of cap space.
Also, I really do think the Flyers should trade Laughton for a 1st round pick in this year's draft. Plenty of good teams would love to add Laughton and the Flyers don't need him now that Couts and Atkinson are coming back. The Flyers need another 1st round pick at this point more than they need another veteran forward. |

my guess is the prospect is Ryan Suzuki, C, Chicago Wolves (28th overall in 2019). He has upside but his game still lacks aggressiveness, think Frost before this season. |
