Guess somebody should have asked Krug if he would waive before a possible trade and before the media was alerted. Inexperience! - Flybynight88
That's on Army, not Briere. |

If it was Hayes (<=30% retained) + Sanheim for Krug + 1st then I'd be happy with it.
I agree, I don't want to just dump Sanheim. - atibus
I’d only be good with this if Krug is moved for further assets. The contract and player don’t help, they hurt the current situation. If there are other prospects or picks also coming from the Blues, then maybe it makes it more appealing. If DB can get another third party to give up assets for Krug, this seems pretty good. |

This is how the sausage gets made. Kind of fun watching. More fun than the past few seasons. - atibus
Agreed, I find it entertaining. I blame Armstrong for the debacle. You have to know if Krug is willing to waive to get it this far down the process. |

I find it crazy that Torts is at least a part of the reason some guys will get moved out... what is Torts shelf life here? I'd rather focus on the horrible contracts that Fletch left us with other than the coach not liking guys. |

This tells me that the other pieces of the deal came about quickly. With guys all over the globe right now, he didn't get a chance to feel Krug out. Even though the American was probably available to be reached. Definitely Blues fault.
I always felt that Krug was a punk. Probably because he was a Bruin. But I didn't like his game. 32 yo too. Flip him to another team.

It's not wrong for a coach to want guys who fit into his system. I just wish it wasn't him.

I must have missed it, when did Krug say he did not want to come here because of Torts? |

I don't believe Krug said that.
I was referring to Angelo, Hayes, Sanheim all being mentioned that they don't fit in Torts system. Or Torts didn't like them. |

He is obviously referring to DeAngelo, Hayes, and Sanhiem. Good for the coach for having high standards and trying his best to win. My beef is that a couch should be a good soldier and not devalue players that are on the chopping block. For goodness sakes, Hayes was in the Allstar game last year and now you have to retain on his contract just to give him away? That obviously hurts this team, doesn’t help. Everyone moving in the same direction boys! |

This will be an important year for him. Needs to establish himself in Liiga first after failing to do so last year . - bmeltzer
Looking back the 2021 draft class was extremely weak. |

I have no doubt Briere & Co are not the leak. People tend to play by the book the closer they are to the class. No way this is on the Flyers Front Office. |

Why are the Flyers so desperate to get rid of Sanheim? - StepfordSam
A pretty average D-man signed to a horrible contract. |

Seems like there are a lot of teams interested in him.
So Sanheim haters... consider that. |

Teams that might employ better utilisation of their personnel? |

It would appear as though the Flyers have hit another snag in their attempts to reshape their roster. Reports indicate that their potential deal to move Tony DeAngelo back to Carolina have reached an impasse. May need to involve a 3rd team there as well. #FueledByPhilly |

They're playoff teams, so they must be doing something more right than the Flyers are.

The reports that I’ve seen have them retaining salary for a crap prospect. Why would there be any retention? Keep him . Shove it down Torts’ throat and move him at the deadline. |

consider that 2 of the team could be the jets and flames. 2 team that dont many free agents and having someone locked up for 8 years is appealing to them. All about the circumstances.
Sanehieim is a solid #3/4 2nd pair dman. Nothing wrong with that.

It’s the week leading up to the draft. I’m guessing a lot of posturing by GMs hoping to get a better deal. That’s it. |
