Habs are reportedly close to a trade. They've got a ton of good pieces but need to find a top line somehow.

Is it ironic that - from my memory - the two players that looked better under Ralphie than Meatballs are Ollo and Bryson? The former could be the result of playing with Jack, of course.

You might be right. PDL's position also plays a roll. On a good team, PDL is a second line center. They are going to need Byfield to be that at some point.

Loosen your belt on your wheelchair guy, those 2 players are not the only vets in the league, if there such good leaders why do they need to come back again after already leading the kids?

Those players suck, fill no voids in the roster and are overpaid.

It's also a bad sign if these new core is so fragile they need these guys.

Ive scrolled over every boss post for quite some time so that cuts out a bunch of them. You probably should too. Makes back reading go a lot quicker, easier and you also won't get caught up in the constant fall flat on your face trolling as an added benefit.

That's a good way to look at it, but I would argue that Krebs is still trending up and has a higher ceiling. Newhook is already looked at as a reclamation project from what I have been reading. Also, Montreal has a metric crap ton of prospects coming, not to mention they aren't close to competing. I get spending a second on him to find out, but a first as well? That seems like bad asset management.
