I bet it starts to happen today. I think the price is being set for many of these players (another reason it takes trades a while to happen) and as soon as the gates open things really start to move.

Christian Ruuttu might be my least-favorite Sabre of all time. Other than Foligno, that team was terrible, and for some reason Ruuttu (so, so, so soft) was a lightning rod for me.

I bet it starts to happen today. I think the price is being set for many of these players (another reason it takes trades a while to happen) and as soon as the gates open things really start to move.

Well, count the Sabres out of taking on bloated contracts...which I don't disagree with for the vast majority.
I think trades that involve a draft pick, especially top 20 or so may be delayed until tomorrow as clubs wait to see who is in their spot before making the deal.
Trades not involving top picks I would think should start today to occur.
