My goodness, WTF is up with these GM's?

-Brierre can't get his 2 deals done
-Blake is stuck in neutral on PLD
-Fitz having issues getting Helly on his roster
-Conroy expending some serious energy trading anyone good from Calgary
-Waddell having trouble getting DeAngelo

I was led to believe all these deals were easy and just a snap of the fingers would do it.
Come on Brierre, force Krug to waive for goodness sake.

- IonSabres

Guess those GM's shouldn't have been giving out NTC and NMC like they were chicklets. And probably would be a lot easier if half the NHL wasn't in some kind of Cap situation.

Dahlin/Samuelsson
Power/Weegar
Boosh/Stillman

Trade Joker. Done. Power and Weegar would be the best duo in the league.

Damn, I didn't realize that his cap hit was 6.25 per year. That is tempting

I’d argue the opposite.

If anything, the cap staying relatively flat the past few years has stimulated more trade activity.

Pretty sure the deadline and the month leading up to it were the most trades we’ve had in years

If only Weegar wasn’t signed until he was 80

29 now signed for 8 more seasons. Not ideal, but not necessarily terrible either.

Sure, but some of that activity was trying to dump bad contracts. Less real hockey trades.

Lot easier to make trades at the Deadline than it is in the off-season.

If you have cap space, I'd think it's a lot easier.

That’s best for both parties

Lehner, Fluery, etc…

He fizzles he goes, he slaps, they extend.

Weegar contract is not good at all. He also isn’t a good.

I would pass. Too much term. Too much cap hit and not enough in return

Wonder if he just packs it in for the offseason and the fans pat him on the back for trying

He’s a top 10 d-man in the sport.

He is just signed for way too long, with a NTC on top of it

Meant a lot easier in the offseason.

TDL is a very limited market.

There is no "too long" or "NTC bad" if he's a top 10 guy.
