It's hard to understand why anyone would think KA is doing a great job. I compare this to the years Kevin Lowe was the oilers GM. The plan was to finish last every year and get a number 1 pick. Can you imagine getting paid a big cheque to fail every year, then do it over and over. I even remember Button saying the Oilers were a model franchise when it came to rebuilding. KA must have listened to Button on that one. He's playing it safe and his recent signings only tell me he's afraid to make the move that will define his career.
There is absolutely no excuse to not make some big moves this off season and if he stays status quo I'd fire him. He would then be paid for doing nothing which would be the same as today

What does this even mean ? Seems to me if a lot of your prospects over the last couple years seem to be growing and developing immensely. Wouldn't you want to keep the person who Seems to have had a hand in that growth. Peca and Appert have done a really good job down in Rochester.

I think it's safe to say he's been at work fora few years already and with that I'll say he's been patient. B plus so far. Made some good prospect additions but his major fail was stating goaltending is the priority then let Ullmark walk.
Now today he's in a position to make a splash that could put this team well into the playoffs. So he resigns a guy who no one else would sign anyway and does it just before FA starts. Fail
What happened to being patient? I'll say he really knows it's time but he also knows this will be his career defining moment.
