The Sabres’ development camp roster includes Nikita Novikov and the eight players they drafted in Nashville.

Thanks. Damn their prospect pool is so deep. So many guys missing.

Killorn, Zucker or Bertuzzi. One of them + a depth D would be a good start at 12pm.

Cheap, if he has anything left
- Buff36

My guess for today; disappointment

2 guys for Rochester
No goalie
No forward
Some defenseman none of us were targeting who is cheap and KA says we’ve been watching him for years

Keep expectations in check and if something good happens then we can all be happy (Gerbe line)

I seriously wouldn’t mind Schenn on the blue line if the dollars/term were right.

Or teams don't want to give up anything for him. Rangers aren't going to give him away.

Amen to that. It isn't the day to build a team but it's fun to get new toys. What was the last year that we got a fun toy or two on this day?

I’d say for better or worse it was Okposo. Not everyone liked it the time it was made, but he was definitely one of the biggest free agents that year. Wasn’t Ehrhoff a free agency add? That was the move that nobody saw coming and think everyone loved it. He was good too.

Hearing goalie MacKenzie Blackwood will be off the market. Expected to sign a two year deal with Sharks after not getting qualifying offer yesterday. #Sharks #FreeAgentFrenzy

They should and am sure they’re kicking the tires on him but won’t get him. Unlike the Bills, I’m not convinced uncle Terry’s all in on the Sabres.

Look for a value signing of schenn. Big, RHD not sure what he has left at 33. Also look for a signing of a forward that nobody’s talked about. I don’t expect a goalie signing.

Exactly - either way, it is posturing. Drury needs to make some moves because that roster is flawed.

Bedard, Moore, Korchinski, and Nazar is an incredible haul in two years.

Congratulations

- Swedish_Jesus

Oh, there are more to be hopeful about. rinzel has the tools but is a longer term prospect. Lardis and Kontserov are loaded with skill. They drafted some centers last season who had good D+1 seasons in Greene, Thompson and Hayes.

Higher picks definitely help but the prospect pool has gone from one the worst to a top 3-ish in 2 drafts.
