Van should see if they can get Brandt Clarke and a 1st for Demko from kings

“Eyes on #CBJ at No.3 today as they debate between Will Smith and Leo Carlsson. Plenty of chatter this week they really like Smith. With the belief Adam Fantilli goes 2nd to the Ducks, does Columbus take Smith at 3, leaving #Sjsharks  open to take Leo Carlsson at 4?”

For fun, what would it take to get #3 overall? Getting either Carlsson or less likely Fantilli would be bold. CBJ has a lot of young forwards already but their D is suspect at best. Maybe willing to trade down to draft a D.

Anything intriguing enough for them to trade down? 11th overall plus ...? I know we don't have much to work with. Hronek?

Pass. Canucks need more D from D not O from D.

Seems like Michkov to Anaheim is picking up steam. I'm still skeptical on whether they'll pass on Carlsson/Fantilli, but it appears they're very high on Michkov.

This top-five could get crazy interesting.
it would be sad if Fantilli or Carlsson got to the Habs.

Probably the dumbest post I've read here in years. Are you and the wife hosting another swingers party tonight by the saltwater pool for the draft?
- VanHockeyGuy

That would depend on if enough show up for the family reunion.

What in the actual (frank)? Why are you listing Hronek as a trade chip FFS. Also, it can’t be done unless we trade
Petterson plus plus. Miller, 11th and the 2024th first is not enough. Full stop. 8 years of control for a big, talented -1st line center is not for sale. We could trade up to 5th potentially If we want to further mortgage the future

Ok calm down there chief. It was just a hypothetical. There was a comment on CBJ's pick earlier. It's draft day, there's going to be some speculation before the dog days of summer and chatter all but stops.

The closer we get to the draft, the sillier things are getting in here.

Canucks make no significant trades, pick their winger that falls out of the top 10... and that is day 1. This is my prediction.

He's a C and apparently the fastest skater in the draft, would be a good fit.

Fast would be good. Seems everyone wants the next Chandler Stephenson now. Taller, faster version of Newhook.

There's a lot of talk that he may translate to a winger in the NHL eventually.

Carl Hagelin type offence one scout described. "Jittery". At this point, there's far too many question marks past top 10 and all those great centers that had top 6 upside have dropped off into mostly middle 6 or wingers.

For the record I’d trade a sh!t load for that pick. CBJ has a lot of trouble attracting players so unfortunately they won’t trade it. We could trade up for the Russian but I personally wouldn’t
