Hughes, 76pts only 34pims and +15, in the 78 games last year pretty much screams good defence.
Pettersson, 102pts, 16pims, +16 in 80 games pretty damn good franchise player material.

I always hope to be wrong when disagreeing with Van scouts but I don't like the value of that pick at 11. I don't see the upside vs a lot of other players in that range.

It all started with the 3rd round pick for Dermott.

Getting top 4 right shot D is expensive. That's why you don't pass them in the draft. Tom Willander, Oliver Bonk, Lukas Dragecivic, Maxim Strbak Canucks should try for two if they don't get the first one.

Yes. I wonder if they go for that RSD Stanley kid when they pick in middle rounds. Has anyone seen him play in BCHL. Went from 5.7 to 6.3 200+ pounds. Maybe adjusting to his body but skates well from reports. Is he a local sleeper?

I guess if you believe that building blocks only come in the form of 17 or 18 year old kids, yeah….lots of teams building towards a brighter future with trades for young players, best time of the year.

In terms of upside that would be nice. Barlow, I would say has a top 6 floor. Not a center but a tougher, faster version of Boeser. Mold of an Adrian Kempe I'd say, maybe a little more refined to start with though.
