The longer your tenure with the club, the harder it is to stay at the top of that list unless you’re exceptionally good. Bertuzzi (0.867) and Naslund (0.855) are 13th & 14th, Bert played 518 games, Naslund 884.

I think Bure is the only player who historically was great for his entire time with the Canucks, guys like Henrik, Daniel, Bertuzzi and Naslund were great for a few year stretch but then just good for the rest of their time.

I would suspect the guys at the top of most franchise lists are in the Pavel Bure category. Bobby Clarke played 1144 games with the Flyers and his points per game is 1.056, that’s a lot of years as a great player. Three Hart Trohpies confirms that.

I think the Kraken outplayed their roster a bit, but we will see. Shane Wright wont make them worse, so there is that.

I am not of the opinion that there is a "top 5" that sets itself apart. I see a top 8. All bring different strengths to a team. Yzerman has been bold with taking Russians in the past when in Tampa and WASH has the Ovi Factor. That would be what I'm pursuing if I'm Hughes.

I could see both DET and WASH trying to move up to 5 to get Michkov ahead of Arizona. At 8 or 9 at least one of Leonard, Dvorsky, Reinbacher and Willander are there and they're all good fits for the Habs IMO. I'd try to initiate a bidding war and move down if the price is right.

Respectively those drafts netted a ton of stars: 14 (2015), 13 (2014), 13 (2016).
