A 2nd pairing D is 6m plus now a days. It's so gross. Canucks going to be paying Hronek probably more next year. - manvanfan

Do you think they have a good reputation now? I think it is in the bottom half of the league of teams desired to play on.
Money and winning talk, all the other stuff is fluff. - VANTEL
You are right sir. Vancouver is one of the most common teams that are part of modified no trade lists along with the Alberta teams, Winnipeg and Arizona. |

The rumor is most or all Canadian teams are part of those lists. Players in the States usually want to stay there for family reasons of continuity.
But hey I am sure many posters who are sour on the Canucks will agree it’s because they suck. |

I’ve seen many podcasts/interviews with modern players. When they’re asked about no trades they usually mention Vancouver because of 1) state of franchise, 2) taxes 3) ultra liberalism(most just want to play hockey, not get involved in every cause). |

I’ve never heard a player publicly state what cities are in their no trade for the simple reason why make yourself a target for abuse. Bashing a city never goes well with the residents. |

Should draft more Canadians and homegrown players then and Swedes and Russians and Fins because those places suck more than BC. |

Byron Bader has done a birthday month of draft eligibles. The months that produce the most stars are May, July, October, November, December. Not in that order but those are 5.3%-6.5% of the players draft that month have turned in what he calls star forwards. Next highest is 3.2%
Connor Bedard July
Adam Fantilli October
Leo Carlsson December
Michkov December

Language in the CBA about trading a player back to the team he came from within a 12 month period. Will most likely happen in July now. |

Drance says Canucks are high on Dvorsky and Reinbacher but Van thinks they will be gone and hopes for Simashev or Willander to be there at 11. Reluctant to take another small winger. |
