Danielson will contribute probably earlier than most of the D around there. Not a reason to pick him over a D though. More likely to get a better D in the 3rd than a C though. - manvanfan
D's a priority for sure, mocks are all over the map. Still think 2 team go off the board before VAN picks.
Simashev, Danielson in that order. Still need a bridge for each position.

No I don't want Dumba. Just seems like a canucks move. |

I really like what the Kings are doing. They are going for PLD and Hellybuck. Going all in.They are forcing Canucks to make very big moves if they want to make the playoffs. - VANTEL

Teams were most certainly trying to get guys for free from teams against the cap. Colorado did, just not from a team against the cap but for a very good price. I had mentioned before that Nashville might be a team that Van could get a center from since they looked like they would have extra.
Defence fetching a very good price and centers with size as well. That's where the appeal for Danielson might come in.
Yager, Stenberg, Moore the other centers around that 11th spot are all 5'11". Higher upside in offence in the three smaller centers. - manvanfan

They have to address the holes in the lineup if they want a WC spot.

Doesn’t always work. I think LA will end up destroying team chemistry by moving out solid players to inherit other teams cancers. |

You should ask your buddy Rick D. if Canucks are still interested in Ross Colton? He was rumoured to want to play in NJ but with Haula signing and cap space leaving that team real quickly. Re-ignited interest in Colton maybe. - manvanfan
Colton for sure 👍

Who is David Wong and why did he pick ASP over Simashev and Willander?
That would be pretty good value to get him at 21. - manvanfan
I applied to draft for Canucks. My guess is it’s Reuby being wong again & liking his small D. |

Yup but said it’ll take 2 seasons to get it done. I can see PA getting a good start on it this year. He’s banking on players rebounding & not off to a tanking start again. |

With Krug not expected to budge on waiving his NTC, it sounds like it may just be Kevin Hayes going to the #stlblues.
I wouldn't expect a lot back if this is the case; would be more or less a salary dump.
Johansen for the rights to Galchenyuk, I can't see them getting a whole lot more for Hayes at half price as well. |

As we wait to see how/if this Flyers/Blues deal pans out, a few teams spoke with Philly about Sanheim, including the Toronto Maple Leafs. If Sanheim doesn't go to STL, I suspect those talks will pick back up (if they haven't already). Leafs also have poked on Hanifin in Calgary. |

Like I said before, make a trade for a young top 4 D this season, bridge 3C. Hope for some luck at the draft.
